It's good that Modest knows that she's smart. She knows that she's smart, and she knows that she doesn't wish to grow up and be like her mom. She wants to be a princess superhero....like Marah.
As for homework, well, she's got her snakes to help, and I think they can already write. I'm sure their writing can't be any worse than my own youngest son's handwriting, and if the teachers can read HIS stuff, I am sure Modest and her serpent posse will do just fine.
