In my continuing efforts to flood my set with penny-and-nickel commons to better justify the awesome rare and mythic rare creatures and spells that will surely come later, I hit upon this idea rather late in the game as it comes to sprouting ideas for this set. In hindsight, it seems painfully obvious. I mean... The whole point behind the Felarya phenomenon is small helpless humans being devoured by much larger, sexier predators.

Enter the small, helpless human. What you see here is probably, pound for pound, the weakest creature in the Felarya Set. A 2/1 chump-blocker with "victim" written all over him for the simple fact that, other than act as a meat shield against humongo creatures, he really does nothing.

I started out making him mono-white. Then I decided that, since he's a jungle explorer, splashing green into his color base was not a bad idea.

The image for the card was pulled off of flixya.com. The owner of the picture went by the handle "kiwi-orange-sock." That means she's either a small, hairy fruit wrapped in an orange tube sock, or she's from New Zealand and likes to wear orange socks. You decide.

EDIT-- This creature actually sets the stage for my next card. A reprint from a not-so-long-ago magic set that holds a dear place in my heart.

I'll give you a hint. It's an Artifact. And when you see it, it will seem so obvious you'll smack yourself and cry: "OF COURSE!!"
