Cientos de meteoritos se aproximan continuamente a los planetas habitados por los Magos Fractales . Sistemas de todo tipo protegen las colonias espaciales: defensas planetarias (Gran Mago que juega con la geometría del caos/CmdrChaos ), misiles interplanetarios (el Paciente mago compositor de fractales/Gipgm2 ), misiles trazadores (el Embajador Fractal/Oxnot ),etc... También la mayoría de colonias están dotadas de silos de misiles (Mago del Caos ordenado en fractales/fraterchaos ) y de puestos avanzados (Mago que diseña superficies fractales de información/MatthewHaggett ) para controlar cualquier amenaza.

Still, there are dangers so big, that causes catastrophes even with the colaboration of many Fractal Mages and Sorceress.

The Sauerv'tvk'atkat kuaxat vo'raeqae (literally: "big and rough pieces of lava") furrowed quickly the space and their endless journey would end crashing against the Fractal City . But all the Mages and Sorceress, meeting in conclave in the Fractal Agora at the request of the Sorceress that seek for fractals in the Universe/BGai agreed and with the help of the most powerful Fractal Magic they built an immense Asteroid Shield , mentored by one of the Fractal Mages specialists in its creation, Mage who marveling the Milegu/Avengium .

However, the vo'raeqae crossed the protections and destroyed much of the ancient city fractal, both the Bouleuterion , the Agora , the Prytaneion as the Opera , some palaces , parks and much of the templar neighborhood .

Some historians want to see in this catastrophe the end of the old Fractal City and the beginning of the Modern Fractal City , however the Fractal City is a paradoxical space itself , so it is not possible to establish a clear timeline for either event.

The Destruction of the vo'raeqae (name by which also referred to this event) is a good example. Due a fairly significant defense and coordination between all Fractal Mages existed, presumably it was no longer in the oldest age of the Fractal City, with their disputes and the first constructions just starting .
