4th Shot for Animalea novel. This time, the panthers. I'm still coloring the next sketches at this point, which will be concept of human soldiers and a few battle scenes.

Background

Although not commonly spoken, there is always doubts in everyone's minds of the true intention and loyalty of this most elite and powerful class in Animalea. Royal Guards presents the backbone fighting force and a symbol of prowess of its species – the pinnacle of beauty and evolution as natural hunters, yet behind all these are people’s fear for their mystic power. Royal Guards silently perform killings for their master and race while the entire tribe lives in a highly disciplined and isolated state, closing themselves from outside, focusing solely on their culture and physical development. Their religion is dark and hard to understand by outsiders while Royal Guards class are often people with few words, preferring alone than in group other than its own kind. Furthermore, although they serve Animalea and its ruler with royalty [at least so far till now] and efficiency, Royal Guards refuses and strictly forbids sharing their teachings, techniques and technologies with any outsider – and even the mighty Royal Class couldn’t force them due to their pure prowess, even with their relatively few numbers.

Throughout generations they have focused on attuning their mental and physics to the ultimate form of beauty in murder and fighting through training and science; in war, they wear their culture and beliefs to combat. Killing to them is same as religious rituals; their blood and soul are crafted from death and war, forming into something beautiful and deadly through endless years of tuning. Royal Guards have slim bodies, extremely agile movements that’s almost to an unnatural state – with that, they can bend or break rule of physics in combat to a certain degree, making them extremely deadly. Relying on numbers won’t work well against them as it would be like men fighting ghosts – it’s the right tools or strategy that’s necessary to bring them down.

Arphulio Suit

The combat power suit that Royal Guards wears is not just a tool of combat, but as pinnacle of Animalea war tech combining the art, culture and religion of the Royal Guards class. Each suit is unique and crafted as personalized work, but all based on the same theme – Dark Knights of Arphulio, God of Darkness, Night and Death in Royal Guards legend. The suit offers only environmental protection and enhances physic qualities of the wearer, including strength, smell, hearing, speed, and even mental. Micro kinetic blasters are also installed and can become a horrifying tool when combined with their unnatural speed.

Head

The most significant difference with each Arphulio Suit [custom made] is the head. On forehead is the tribe symbol. As most sensory organs are on the head part, various advanced technologies are used to enhance their functionalities.

Body

The streamlines present their cultural marks for sex, murder, and beauty. Area in waist and back are especially focused as they see that as most attractive part on their bodies. Many of their blade dances involve a lot of works on their waist, symbolizing sexuality and killing. 2 strips of cloths hang from their hips, with symbols and names from their ancestry, Gods and religion. 1 shoulder strip on each side as a ritualistic symbol “mnuiovo”, best translate as “agent of ritualistic murder”, describing their character, duty and divine rights to present and perform their religion in war.

Hands

Conceals deadly weapons called “Urotui” in their language – an expandable / retractable killer wire charged with high plasma / antimatter energy. [Imagine a creature with unnatural speed that can bend laws of physics such as run on walls, dodge bullets, move faster than human eyes can catch… Now give it a wire that can easily change length and cut through most substance. – Now imagine the horror for human soldiers to fight that thing.]
