So I just went a bit crazy here, and decided to reconstruct my old map, and improve it just a tiny bit xD

Inspired a bit by the cold war, this too is a world, divided by two superpowers, both seeking total control.

The Republic of Paguas holds control in the south.

Ideology: Free Market Capitalism
Population: 400 Million Registered Republic Citizens
Religious Affiliation: 87% Divinist (A fictitious monotheistic religion)
Slogan: "A free country, is truly the best kind"

Ruled by the shareholders of "The Federation Defense", the country can be described as a corporate oligarchy. Paguas is the largest economic power in the world.
They live in cities around the few oasis's there are in the southern wastes. Huge cities, divided into two. High-town, for the well standing citizens, and Low-town, for the impoverished.

The Newmist Union holds the north.

Ideology: Communism/Leftist Republic
Population: 700 Million Union citizens
Religious Affiliation: 90% Non-religious/Agnostic/Atheist
Slogan: "The will of the people!"

Democratic in nature, the unions prime speakers (what they call their leaders) are elected by all the elected speakers from each city, who are individually elected by the city they represent. The two parties, the Unitarians, and the Equalists, stand for two sides of leftist ideology. Authoritarian Leftist, and Libertarian Leftist ideologies. The Unitarians often win elections during war times, and in the border regions, and the Equalists often win during peace time, and in the
core of the Union, where conflict hardly ever reaches.

The majority of Union cities are huge bunker cities, either inside mountains, or deep underground, all connected by the underground system of train tunnels. Each city is has its own ecosystem, with underground farms, and mining operations. They are a moneyless society, and there is no such things as private property. Often regarded as bureaucratic, militaristic, and authoritarian, by outsiders to the Union culture.
