I read recently that there is SOME video game, I don't remember what it's called anymore, that is a crossover for many mecha series. Humorously enough, Sagara Sousuke from Full Metal Panic and Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing (an older character from an older series who looks like he could pass for Sagara, and was probably part of the inspiration for the character, as they have so many similarities) cross paths in this game. Sagara looks up to Heero (also funny, because he is older than Heero) and considers him his 'senpai'.

While Sagara would respect Heero's piloting skills, he might also admire his philosophies and his way with the ladies.

To explain the jokes here...

In Gundam Wing, Heero meets a girl called Relena, and he threatens to kill her multiple times, vows to kill her at least once, saves her a few times, rips up an invitation to her birthday party, and...gives her a stuffed bear. She seems to like it, at any rate, so (in this comic) Heero decided that he was probably the right man to give love advice to his 'kohai'.

Yeah...the perfect soldier ain't always perfect.

Also, the panel where the blue-haired girl (Chidori, Sagara's love interest) is shouting, "Come and kill me!" is a reference to Gundam Wing. Relena shouts this once while standing on a cliff after Heero ran away from a facility that was taking care of his injuries and keeping him under lock and key.

A running joke, at least in the fandom, is Heero's tendency to answer questions with, "Hn".

Quatre calls Heero "the space heart" at some point. I thought for the longest time that Quatre was the heart of outer space...but I guess he was just gay.

Sagara's inexperience with women led him to calling the act of picking up chicks, "a girl hunt".

Sagara Sousuke is from Full Metal Panic.
