It was awesome. Definitely tied up to New Hope and payed homages to the original trilogy. I was impressed with how they resurrected Peter Cushing's portrayal of Grand Moff Tarkin.Β

When I saw Tarkin, I knew it was CGI, but it didn't throw me off. I just saw Tarkin. Leia's CGI threw me, but the movie was over. So, it was a good time to throw me off.Β I enjoyed the movie. And I'm glad the filmmakers had the nuts to end the movie the way it did. My dad didn't enjoy the movie as much as I did. But then, he was comparing it to The Force Awakens, which I feel is something you shouldn't do with this film.Β
