Description
After listening to the audiobook of Star Wars: Darth Plagueis, I started to become interested in the story of Sith Lords, Darth Gravid and Darth Gean, and wonder what was it that made a Dark Lord of the Bane Line turn to the Light Side of the Force. I was hoping to start writing this when I got more done of my Darth Zannah fan-fic, The Art of Deception. But I decided to screw it and write the prologue and first chapter. I even did a cover that you see here.
I had a hard time coming up with the best image represent this story. To me, I felt that a Sith Holocron with cracks in it seemed like the best way to go, with the crossing lightsaber blades of Gravid and Gean in the background. I hope you like. And in the comment section, tell what you would like to see in this story.
Update: Like what I did with my Darth Zannah: The Art of Deception cover, I did an update of this cover. Let me know what you think.Β
Synopsis:
Over 400 years have passed since the Sith Lord, Darth Bane, destroyed the Brotherhood of Darkness and birthed a new Sith order under the Rule of Two. In those centuries, the Sith grew strength and prepared themselves to enact their revenge on the Jedi. After killing his master, Darth Gravid became the Dark Lord of the Sith whose powerful enough to enact the Grand Plan.
However, while gaining more power to overwhelm the Jedi, Darth Gravid began to incorporate teachings of the Jedi into the training regime of his Twi'lek apprentice, Darth Gean. This mixture of light and dark side teachings would lead the Dark Lord of the Sith into madness and put the Grand Plan and the Sith in jeopardy. But what was it that made Gravid turn to the Light Side of the Force? Was it the teachings of a Holocron of a Light Sith? Was it born in him? Was it love? Whatever the reason, the result would change the Order of the Sith Lords and the galaxy forever.

Outstanding work! I've already read the prologue and the first chapters and I hope you'll do more in the near future.

I'd love to see something about Darth Vectivus. Β Darth Vectivus, for me, wasn't evil. Β He treated his workers well and had many family and friends. Β How did he reconcile himself to the dark side or could it be that not all Sith are evil? Β In many ways he is similar to Gravid. Β There is one major difference between Vectivus and Gravid - Vectivus didn't go mad. Β He died a peaceful death which seems strange for a Sith.
I'm sure whatever you do next will be great as well.

To me Darth Vectivus story isn't that interesting compare to the stories of other Sith Lords, like Zannah, Plagueis, Gravid, and Cognus. The only thing that I could think of that would be interesting is how the mantle of Dark Lord was passed down to Vectivus' apprentice.
Be sure to read the chapters of this fan-fic that I put up already.

Well I'd like to know why he decided to combine Jedi teachings with those of the Sith

I am giving him a lover, but she won't be a Jedi.
However, I made his mother a Jedi, but that is all I can say at this time.

Its going to be dozy, considering the state that Gean is at end the of the fight.Β

I know. Frankly I'm rather fond of Gean for killing Gravid. If she hadn't then he would have set the grand plan back even further then it already was

Thank you. So, have you got anything more to add to this little project of mine, besides the ones we discussed in the comment section of Art of Deception chapter 6?

Then, I suggest you do so. It has some interesting data on the dark side, which includes Darth Bane's teachings.

I hate Darth Kyrat for abolishing Bane's Rule of Two. That was the same thinking that destroyed the Brotherhood of Darkness

One major difference is that Krayt was not afraid to take the Darth title.

But I doubt it would help much. According to the Darth Plagueis novel, the teaching changes from one master to the next, if I remember right.

So, almost anything can go with Gean's training. What do you say we come up with some stuff on that? Maybe figure out how Gravid meets Gean.

How about a slaving auction on Ryloth? Just like when Na'daz met Kas'im!

Well, I had thought about making Gean a slave. But I wanted to do something more than just a slave auction. Maybe have Gean turn on her owner and kind of pull a Palpatine.Β

I'm thinking out including the Zygerrians into the story, given their culture is based on slavery. It might be a good way to example how the Zygerria came under the radar of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Maybe there will be a vote in the Senate to create laws against slavery, which Gravid is heavily involved in, which will affect a deal between Ryloth and Zygerria. At the head of this deal is Gean's father. This just something I'm thinking at the top of my head.
