Heheh, I love this CSS! It's my first one, too.
I love the simplicity of it. Thanks for creating it!

Just download the file from the link up top. You'll get two text files...one is the CSS and the other is a sample journal to show the layout you need to follow. They should be fairly cut and dry directions, but let me know if you have any questions.

You might have to clarify on "cute"....and if I don't have anything like that, I'd be willing to make one that you'd want.

As far as what? Is there anything in particular that you want to do with them or just wondering what you put in the boxes?
A lot of people put stuff like sidebar info in the header and credit lines in the footer....but it's all personal preference.

what do you put in the boxes?

You put journal information in there (just like the Journal Entry box) if it is set up for it in the CSS.
If you want to see an example, my Blue Eagle CSS has the link information in the header box.

Your best bet is to start here: [link]
That's where I picked up on it and throw in a little trial and error and you'll be on your way!

I'm hoping to get started on your CSS this week, so I should have a preview for ya by the middle of next week. Sorry for the delay...

sounds awesome, thanks! ^^
and on that topic, would you be able to replace the "winterdiamond"s in the background with "dbestarchitect"s, and also make everything in the green Hue?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Jamaal10 In reply to dbestarchitect [2008-04-22 03:07:23 +0000 UTC]
The hue's not a problem, but that exact text might be. Would you possibly want it behind the boxes (in the background)? If so, do you want it that size or smaller?

dbestarchitect In reply to Jamaal10 [2008-04-22 03:15:52 +0000 UTC]
That size is good, thanks
also, sorry to bug you about a couple other things, but could you make the headers larger, perhaps for 15px font? And, the other thing, could you round the corners of the ".journalbox" to a 5-2-1-2-5px pattern? Please let me know if this is too much, or if you need extra details
and thanks again for doing this

Jamaal10 In reply to dbestarchitect [2008-04-26 02:38:08 +0000 UTC]
For the pattern, when you say "journalbox" do you mean the most outer part of the journal or the part where you put the news, etc?

Jamaal10 In reply to dbestarchitect [2008-04-22 11:46:55 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem

How would I go about getting a darker theme for it? I mean which colors might I need to change? I'd like to have this same exact code, just with a black|gray|white theme for my other account. D: I'm confused on which codes are what.

Jamaal10 In reply to Sujuka [2008-04-23 00:52:47 +0000 UTC]
This controls the entire background:
.journalbox {
background-color: #bac5ba;
This controls the header backgrounds:
.header {
background-color: #92a399;
and
.headerfloat {
background-color: #92a399;
Anywhere else that you see a line that says color: #2c3635; controls the font colors.
Let me know if you need a more detailed explanation and I can note it to you.
