i'm totally on the sessh/rin ship (sessh/kag one too) but i just find it funny that he fell in love with a little girl. i mean, edward cullen was almost 100 and he fell in love with someone his own age but the gap between the sessh and rin makes me giggle
so, as it says, romance surpasses all ages

Dude, it wasn't romantic, it was just love plain and simple, which is certainly something a callous creep like Sesshomaru needed. He never hits on her, he provides for Rin. It's more of a paternal/filial thing if you ask me.
