History
The Rainbow Warrior, often called "Rainbow" by the public, reportedly started from very humble beginnings. A simple college senior, Madelyn Stockwell would have gladly remained that way had it not been for one fateful night. While walking home with her two friends, Aubrey and Lucas, Madelyn witnessed a very strange meteor shower. Even more strange when one of them seemed to single her out, striking her square in the forehead. While the experience should have killed her, rather the unorthodox meteor shower exposed her to radiation from the planet Vanu. Said radiation greatly enhanced Madelyn's physiology, giving her near immeasurable strength, speed, endurance and durability. It even granted her the ability to fly and shoot energy beams from her eyes (the color of which varying). According to Madelyn herself, the meteorite was apparently hardwired to seek her out by an alien race called the Gordonians, who had reason to believe that humanity would soon face potential annihilation and while barred by intergalactic law from directly meddling, a loophole allowed them to provide a means for the people of Earth to defend themselves. Madelyn happened to be fortunate (or perhaps unfortunate) enough to be one of the individuals chosen by them to become one of Earth's protectors. Had things been up to her, Madelyn would have continued to live her life as an ordinary college senior, and for a while she tried to do so. But it would seem that fate had other plans as she would end up saving a bus full of children after bearing witness to a devastating crash. She was then approached by a government official who sought to make her a public figure, but as she still hoped to return to a normal life, she turned it down. However, the media soon caught wind of what she had done and broadcasted it. Taken aback by the overwhelming praise she received for her act of heroism, and witnessing firsthand the positive effect it had on the moral of her small community, Madelyn agreed (with some convincing from her closest friends) to take up the official's offer and become the hero known as Rainbow, and later going on to lead the Prism Pride Alliance.
Additional Info
- Known Weakness: Rainbow appears to have difficulty fully controlling her powers and often times puts the safety and health of others over her own, placing her in various life threatening situations. Additionally Rainbow appears particularly vulnerable to mental-based assaults (a particularly powerful telepath could potentially incapacitate and/or kill her)
-Potential threat if gone rogue: Extreme
-Likeness to go rogue: Very Unlikely
