Description
Rodin once said, ''The artist must create a spark before he can make a fire and before art is born, the artist must be ready to be consumed by the fire of his own creation.'' François-Auguste-René Rodin was commissioned to Carry out the monumental task of sculpting\casting ''The Gates of Hell'' with 'the Thinker' or 'The Poet', (Bronze) at the centre of the composition in 1880. Most of the figures in the work, along with the main character, The Thinker, was based on, 'The Divine Comedy' which is more or less a long Italian Poem by 'Dante, Alighieri'. unless you've studied Rodin or Know the full history of, Rodin's Sculpt, 'The Thinker', you would not Connect this Famous Statue with, 'The Gates of hell'...anyway, This Very Famous Statue is known to millions around the globe but for the very small number of people, 'The Thinker', was Never of this Design and Certainly not connected to the gates of Hell...one of these very rare unique fascinating people, i communicate with on DA...I meet many interesting people on DA and one user in particular called Carpathian, (her username) i found extremely fascinating. We got talking on several interesting subjects, that i won't divulge because of her privacy but what information she told me about these other worldly subjects, really stopped me in my tracks and ponder hard about reality and our own consciousness. So, about a week ago, She Asked me, if i do requests? well, i do, as long as i find it appealing, attractive to me or something that stimulates my little grey cells. I found her request very interesting indeed, she told me about, ''The Thinker'' but the statue She recalls was nothing like Rodin's Statue, i was slightly Perplexed, then She went on the Describe Her Recollection of what ''The Thinker'' was originally Like...i had to take on the request..so i set about re-creating Carpathians Vision.
So Carpathian told me about How the statue was Sculpted from Marble. The Figures pose you see in the finished painting is from Carpathians Described recollection..so i started to paint in the renaissance style and gives the impression of a Light blue\Grey\White Marble Sculpt. The Figure had the appearance of a Greek God, so i enhanced the figures Anatomy in some fine detail and kept part of the statue vague because it has that expressionist style too. the light and dark Shadow contrast had to remain subtle on the statue to reflect the location, of mainly blues, yellow ochre and Green. I painted the background in the Style of Thomas Gainsborough, i always found his landscape artwork a good reference source and studied in that style. Carpathian talked about 4 pathways, obviously you can only see the Pathway leading north through those trees on your left which is connected to the western path and then off into the distance heading north... the southern path obviously in the Foreground, East and west pathways, connecting to the Southern path around the rock. Finished !
Carpathian is now satisfied with the Painting and i'm happy that i was able too recreate her original Recollection of, The Thinker.

I find the things you said very interesting and believe what you are saying
about the painting moving...
I only know artist from talking to him here in dA, he only knew of the statue that exists now,
not this one he painted, what he painted is how it used to be, it morphed, it changed appearance
and moved, somewhat like what you are saying is happening with you now, I started talking to
him about it, I am experiencing what is called the Mandela Effect...
This is not the world I come from, what you see in painting is my memory of how it used to
look then it suddenly changed into what it is now, if you do not know of The Thinker statue by
Rodin you should google it and look at it, it does not look like this painting any more...
The mandela effect could be cause of you seeing the colors and statue move.

The statue was moving as i was staring at it, i don't know why, i wasn't think'n about anything, i googled Rodin's Statue it looks nothing like the original, i think this version is this real version. i never knew much about the Mandela effect

I sort of wish I didn't know it can mess with the head....
Much has changed here, this statue changed so you seeing
original version moving might be attempt to change it, they can
change stuff at the quantum level...and are.

CERN 666 is opening doorways into other demensions, the admit to what they are doing,
to EXPLOIT other worlds, theorecticly when they take something from there and bring it here,
something from here has to go there to replace it...they could destroy the entire universe with
the particle accelerator the quantum computer runs it, it is not like the computers we use, our
computers operate in linear basicly moving forward in a straight line, the quantum does not operate
that way...it can move forwards, backwards, sideways, up and down....it is sort of like this, we are
in a virtual reality world and they corrupted the program, it's disintegrating....they could open up a black
hole that could potentially swallow everything...us first. Everything that exists is binary coded they figured
out how to alter things at the quantum level using binary, ones and zeros, something or nothing...it's all
very scientific, the scientist also know there is a God...He is in the math. God even sent CERN a message
that took their quantum computer four month to decipehr it was so complicated and the message turns out
is one singel word...TEKEL.....this word can not be translated into any other language it won't it always remains
TEKEL...it is word that means this: You have been weighed in the divine scales of justice and found lacking.
They pissed off God. All this is very complicated, in my reality or the world I came from everything was foretold
and now it is happening. If you don't have God I can only suggest you start talking to Him and Believe in Him
not religions but our Creator...

This is how The Thinker statue used to look, it morphed and changed to what it is now,
Many other things changed too, a lot of things could be faked but certain things just
can't be faked, my pulse moved, the stars in the sky moved, a lot of bizarre strange
things going on, I blame CERN and Dwave quantum computor, they hi-jacked reality...
I gave him very vivid description of what I remember it looking like, I even had him correct
pose, it used to be made of white marble and now is like some messed up version...it is
how I remember it I discovered change four years ago along with a lot of other changes,
I believe it is is end of days, I think they opened the gates of hell and if one don't believe in
hell then pandora's box so to speak. There are a few millions of other people in the world
who remember this as well....

Really? oh, that is very strange indeed. i never intended the painting to be some kind of optical illusion. What i was thinking before the request? well, i wasn't thinking about this painting for sure. how could i have thoughts about a painting when it was a request by another user? and the, ''tapping into your mind or connected to you mind''? well, how would do that exactly? i don't know what's in your mind, your mind is your own. if i wake up and think about a bird flying upside down carrying a red balloon, it doesn't mean you'll have the same thoughts as me. it's just a painting mate. don't think about it too much.

Thanks indeed. well, i like your enthusiasm but i'm far from a master Artist. The Statue was difficult to create but it's manly down to colour layering, tonal effects and a bit of handy knowledge when it comes to anatomy. Renaissance art is the most taxing, whether it's a drawing, painting or sculpting\casting, you really have to understand all aspect of the human Anatomy under light and shadow.
Again thank you for saying such kind compliments but my artwork is for from the best on DA.

I have only read this comment now. I sometimes think it is not right to read the comments of others and I also do not. It is a forum, of course, but there was really an exception here. I noticed the comment "master artist" and started reading. I was very pleasantly surprised at how humble you are. I like humble people very much. This is not to say that you make yourself small. On the contrary. You yourself know what you can do and are happy about the recognition of the other without having to draw 10 other people's attention to me. Do you know what i mean?

I understand what you are saying to me and thank you for noticing that i am really humble. i have no need to be important Jana or have an Ego, i class everyone who creates art in any shape or form equal to me, we are all artists so we should compliment each other work no matter how great or how minimalist the artwork is. Yes someone did mention, 'Master Artist' but i will never class myself has some kind of important or professional. i am a lover of art, i love all styles of art and i love to view other artists artwork and give a gratifying comment and not just a passing comment.
You are sweet and kind Jana, thank you.

Thanks Ollie, Well, a week Back, Carpathian, (DA, User) Asked me to do a request, 'To paint The Thinker' by Rodin, but how she remembers it and many others too - you ever heard of the Mandela effect? False Memory? you remember something but now it's been changed? anyway, she asked me to re-do Rodin's sculpt or cast, so i did... oh it was taxing for me, i had to use every bit of artistic skill i had just layering the light and dark tones, colour schemes too just to get where i wanted to be. i finished on the 24th of December, She was overjoyed, she Said, ''it was near on perfect to how she remembers the Original Thinker.''
Hope you had a great Christmas mate and lets hope for a better new year for the UK eh?

Ah cool that is nice you did a request for her and yes I know about the Mandela effect, I can imagine it being very difficult to get the finish you ended up with as you did very well with layering up the tones and textures and getting the light and shades right in the normal places. Despite it being hard to do did you still enjoy creating this piece? That is lucky you got it done on the 24th as well so you could give it as a Christmas present and even better that she really liked it!
Had a nice Christmas and survived the trials of the day only for it to come around in another year haha, how was your Christmas in the end? Now its all about New Year which I have always found so odd as its so soon after Christmas you can never really take it in.

As far as i am aware, Carpathian, loved the painting. as long as she is happy with the request, then i'm happy too. She has more of an understanding of other worldly subjects, like the Mandela effect and CERN than i do. She is a very rare and unique person, highly intelligent and smarter the average girl, from what i can gather on here. other than that, i have no idea who Carpathian is.....the painting turned out OK i guess.... i know many styles of art. but i'm no pro, i never want to be. when i'm drawing, i hate it, i despise it, loathe it, only when i'm finished i can be a spectator and view it. i'm happy then.
''Christmas is a lovely time of year''....i would've said this when i was younger but today? Christmas is all about profit, no surprise element, a green light to eat like pigs and drink like fish, the children want Phones and games consoles, PC's and all this garbage that costs an arm and a leg, as to when i was younger, you waited for the surprise and were happy and content with what you got but i'm happy to know you got through Christmas OK. I treat it as any other day. i still like the element of wishing people a Merry Christmas, i love the look of a Christmas tree and decorations but as for the rest of it. total waste of time and the New year? just another year to me and one step closer to old age lol, Thanks Ollie, you're a pal.

Well if she is like that and she really likes the piece then you definitely know you have made a successful artwork, you know how fussy people can be and how they can detect even slight problems in a artwork so you should be very pleased with the results. Still that is a shame you don't enjoy the actual process of doing the art and only enjoy the finished piece, any idea why that is? Is it because its stressful and you worry about making mistakes and meeting deadlines etc?
Oh yes Christmas is definitely like that but instead of being one day its spread into 3 months at least, I can't believe that there was actual stores doing unique sales on Christmas day this year and even now its the post Christmas sale which will then be the New Year Sale and then after that the January sales! Everything is becoming very commercial and it is a excuse to spend money in excess and eating bad foods etc, its a shame because it makes me wonder if kids now will look back at Christmas when they are older as something special or instead something without any soul and basically one big advert. It also makes you think if people will actually get sick of the tradition and if things will radically change in the future? So did you not spend Christmas with family this year? I agree about New Year and I gave up celebrating it about 20 years ago, people use it as a excuse to go out and drink but I don't want to get involved in that haha.

I'm glad she actually liked the painting Ollie, like you said, when you do a request, you kinda hope the drawing is satisfactory. You are exactly right about my hatred in actually drawing. it's the thought of not achieving what i'm looking for within the drawing, the deadline, stress, the mistakes too, fortunately, Carpathian, went into great detail with this painting so i was not to worried about making mistakes. some people only give vague requests and that bothers me because, you have to improvise and that's when big mistakes happen, and i get into a cluster-fuck of a mess !
Imagine one time, over Christmas, all shops were closed up but like you said, Christmas day has special Sales now lol! i mean, who's going out, buying more pointless crap? and yes, the New Years sales too. this is why i hate Christmas now, there's no surprise, you can buy everything all year round, hell you can celebrate Christmas every day. i remember when i was younger, you only saw Turkey at Christmas, only certain items would appear at Christmas, only relevant to Christmas, now go online, you can buy anything you want. way too commercial and most people now are in debt because they've maxed out there cash or taken out loans. they'll be miserable for the rest of the year paying it all back just because their youngest wanted a 1000 quid Iphone. I think the tradition will end sometime in the future, because of radical culture change, it's a Christian tradition after all. with the rise in immigration and the diverse changes in UK society, Christmas will be, just a time for partying, drinking, spending lots of cash on pointless crap. oh wait, that's what it's like now, all it needs now, is too eliminate the meaning of Christmas, Santa' and the Word Christmas and then you'll have the future. Sad really. it was always a wonderful tradition but not anymore. I spent Christmas really on my own, couple family members came round but, it was quiet, my parents died too early, they kinda made Christmas, i got 2 brother, 2 sisters though and a lot of relatives but nah, Christmas is no more in my mind. And the New Year? it's a joke, everyone gets together for one night, drinks, sing songs about coming together, peace and harmony and then the next day, at each others throats, complaining about anything and everything. it's kind of hypocritical the New year. lol. i don't get involved anymore.

Its a shame something like art can be so stressful at times and pleasing other people is never easy, have you had bad experiences then when you did a picture and really took your time on it and made it good and the person you gifted it too didn't like it or complained about a part of it? Getting a good description for the request is vital though and I think you did a really god job on this, I guess from now on perhaps you should only do requests etc if you do get a proper detailed description so you don't have to spend lots of time improvising and stressing yourself out?
Yes that is basically the sum of it and I think previous years were bad but this year it feels like the amount of sales and how they are drawn out is ridiculous! That is true as well and its so sad to think families get in debt and struggle all year to pay it off only to get into the exact same situation next Christmas, I guess things will definitely have to change and maybe it will become more like New Year where a lot of people don't even bother to celebrate it? Sorry to hear that about your parents though and when you don't have many family members nearby I can see its easy to just not bother with Christmas, do your brothers and sisters feel the same about Christmas as well? Yes that is very accurate about New Years Day haha, I had some miserable New Years Day celebrations when I was younger and decided never to bother again!

Yes i did have an Experience, The Zeus Drawing i done a While back. Now the User was very vague in what they wanted, i explained to them, i don't do Anime and asked them to be a bit more Concise in what they want me too draw, well they continued to be vague and arrogant about their request, sending me References Depicting Amine art - now the Fetish of theirs was the drawings of Gods pissing in a Pot, literally but i put their fetish aside and continued, well they never give me any clear detail so i did draw what i thought might be appropriate, They complained and said it wasn't what they wanted, so i decided to redo their request. This time, i asked them to sketch me what they wanted, just a basic featureless outline and then i would i'll fill in the sketch with detail, well the sketch was as bad as the vague details they were giving me and then they messaged me saying, to hurry up and when is it going to be done, this century? so i terminated the request. Now i'll only do requests if someone gives detail and are clear in what they actually want...can't please everyone Ollie. i'm easy going but their are limits
My brothers and Sister celebrate and we do get together and we are all generous to each other, it's everyone has family and friends so you do end up spending Christmas on your tod but it's OK, just another day, another year. that is the only thing i miss my parents, they made Christmas but that's life. yes, scarred by past NY's celebrations, i completely understand how you feel. pointless bothering. Happy new year anyways Ollie, when it arrives !

Yes that definitely sounds like a horror story regarding requests, I mean why did they need it so urgently and couldn't they be happy that they are getting a picture? I mean having vague details like that doesn't help and well I think whatever you would of done you couldn't of won and you couldn't please them as they are probably that type of person, where they a artist as well even if just a beginner? Definitely odd though, I think you have the right idea though and I think its best to have a good set of rules down so you don't have to suffer from awful experiences haha.
I can understand about your parents being the spirit of Christmas and well I think its the same for a lot of families, I mean some people don't get on well with just their siblings so even at Christmas they don't see them and so all them family gatherings etc fall apart. Anyway I wish you a Happy New year as well!

I'm not gonna do that anymore, if i personally find the request of interest and they are concise, then yes, i'll have a go but after the last episode with Zeus pissing in a tin, lol. no way. I'll leave it thanks !! lol
That's exactly it, we all were and are close but my parents kept everything together. shit really, i would of liked them to see them live to a ripe old age but that's how messed up life is. dad suffered a massive heart attack in his 50's and mum got a rare tumour on the brain, such a lovely person she was too, again in her 50's never smoked, drank, did drugs but she suffered for 4 years and i watched her suffer we all did. so that's why i look at life differently now, we can all go at any time, we all get too stuck in this life, trying to better ourselves, many are arrogant, have no time, i was like that once, you could say, i was literally a cunt ! but i'm a humble person now, friendly soul. because, life is just to short and not worth the hassle of being a cunt like most.
Happy New Year Ollie, may we all smile a little more !

Haha I don't blame you to be honest though at the very least you can chalk it up to a experience which you don't want to have again!
I feel that a lot of families are like that and its a similar story with my cousins, their parents died and not only do we rarely hear from their children now but apparently last I heard they don't even keep in contact with themselves even though they are siblings which I find really odd. I am really sorry to hear that about your parents though and it really is unfair, I think its the uncontrollable events of life which is what makes everything so difficult really and its hard when such things happen for it not to change your perspective on things. Like you I feel events in recent years has coloured my view on life, my brother has become quite ill and it obviously causes a lot of strain to the family especially my parents so basically I try my best to try and work hard and appreciate what I can in life and of course most importantly of all be nice to other people.
Anyway I hope 2020 is a much happier year for you!

LOL. it's not being tight Ollie, it's just sometimes i can't perform miracles lol.
It's the worst event in everyone's life, losing someone or family members. It leaves you thinking, ''what is life truly all about?'' we struggle through, trying to keep our heads above the water, paying bills, working like a slaves and then you flake out. gone. all the, dreams of buying a bigger car or living in a bigger house or going on holidays or what social status you have, all this nonsense, it's completely meaningless but that's after you realise that life, it's not about all that crap, it's about being a bit more friendly and compassion to each other. just walk along the pavement at anytime look at the mundane stream or Cars rolling by and look at the faces on ever Driver, miserable, worn out, no time, it's my bubble...idk Ollie, we only see the light of day when it's too late. my niece, she works as a Carer, travels around the countryside to these big houses where wealthy elderly people still live in their big posh homes, She tells me all the time that the majority of these rich elderly people, (which are house bound) say too her, they don't care about their property, or their wealth, (oh their children do lol) you know what they want? all they want is to walk out in the sun or the rain nothing more. no holidays or cars, just to walk and breath in the air, something they took for granted but never took advantage of because they were to busy being very rich, greedy and arrogant. What has happened too you brother? why is he ill? i'm so sorry to hear about this. It's always a strain event. i hope everything will be OK for your bro
You have a good 2020.

That is all very true and really I think one has to mature and experience life changing events to really understand life and look at the bigger picture, its so easy to get caught up in this man made community of having to earn money to survive and working like a worker bee and then worrying if you are keeping up with the expectations of society or lagging behind and being deemed a failure etc etc. As for them elderly people they just want to be able to experience the basics of life which they can no longer do and didn't appreciate when they were younger, it is sad but I feel probably most of us waste our younger years taking things for granted and not appreciating life.
My brother has multiple sclerosis and it has basically changed his life as well as my families, he can no longer do the things he wants though he is taking experimental medication so all I can hope is that it does something for him.

Yes indeed, we all take life for granted when younger. that's another human flaw we all have. we have so many flaws really.
I'm really sorry to hear that your brother has multiple sclerosis, it must upsetting for all your family to see your brother this way. i know i would be. i really do hope these experimental meds work in some way.

I agree with you. The cultures that mix with time will inevitably continue to change the festival, as it has changed so far. Santa Claus is a Coca Cola invention and has become established all over the world. There will always be something new and some will disappear. The people who lived 150 years ago would not recognize our Christmas time and the holy night. Definitely not. What am I talking about? It was different 30 years ago and already very different regionally.

And i totally agree with you Jana, everything you said is correct about traditions are different from 30 years ago and 150 years ago traditions back then are entirely different too today. you're correct again in that Santa and Coca cola being connected. In the end, everything must change, from, Traditions, to culture change, to Environments, towns ,cities, i personally love my time at Christmas, when i was younger, it was such a magical moment.
