Rodin once said, ''The artist must create a spark before he can make a fire and before art is born, the artist must be ready to be consumed by the fire of his own creation.'' François-Auguste-René Rodin was commissioned to Carry out the monumental task of sculpting\casting ''The Gates of Hell'' with 'the Thinker' or 'The Poet', (Bronze) at the centre of the composition in 1880. Most of the figures in the work, along with the main character, The Thinker, was based on, 'The Divine Comedy' which is more or less a long Italian Poem by 'Dante, Alighieri'. unless you've studied Rodin or Know the full history of, Rodin's Sculpt, 'The Thinker', you would not Connect this Famous Statue with, 'The Gates of hell'...anyway, This Very Famous Statue is known to millions around the globe but for the very small number of people, 'The Thinker', was Never of this Design and Certainly not connected to the gates of Hell...one of these very rare unique fascinating people, i communicate with on DA...I meet many interesting people on DA and one user in particular called Carpathian, (her username) i found extremely fascinating. We got talking on several interesting subjects, that i won't divulge because of her privacy but what information she told me about these other worldly subjects, really stopped me in my tracks and ponder hard about reality and our own consciousness. So, about a week ago, She Asked me, if i do requests? well, i do, as long as i find it appealing, attractive to me or something that stimulates my little grey cells. I found her request very interesting indeed, she told me about, ''The Thinker'' but the statue She recalls was nothing like Rodin's Statue, i was slightly Perplexed, then She went on the Describe Her Recollection of what ''The Thinker'' was originally Like...i had to take on the request..so i set about re-creating Carpathians Vision.
So Carpathian told me about How the statue was Sculpted from Marble. The Figures pose you see in the finished painting is from Carpathians Described recollection..so i started to paint in the renaissance style and gives the impression of a Light blue\Grey\White Marble Sculpt. The Figure had the appearance of a Greek God, so i enhanced the figures Anatomy in some fine detail and kept part of the statue vague because it has that expressionist style too. the light and dark Shadow contrast had to remain subtle on the statue to reflect the location, of mainly blues, yellow ochre and Green. I painted the background in the Style of Thomas Gainsborough, i always found his landscape artwork a good reference source and studied in that style. Carpathian talked about 4 pathways, obviously you can only see the Pathway leading north through those trees on your left which is connected to the western path and then off into the distance heading north... the southern path obviously in the Foreground, East and west pathways, connecting to the Southern path around the rock. Finished !
Carpathian is now satisfied with the Painting and i'm happy that i was able too recreate her original Recollection of, The Thinker.

I've watched artwork turn into something else...not just the thinker, the mona lisa
was straight faced not smirking, St. Michael had his foot on the devils neck not his
head....it's surreal if they are manipulating reality and the majority of people think
it's always been this way but for it hasn't, things are "Poofing" in and out of this
reality.....
Phi, it's what is need to perfect artwork, study Phi and apply it, Phi is extremely important in...everything.
My camera broke and I prefer to talk to people which is almost non-existant
in dA now and most Ive spoken with seem to be children who are clueless...
There used to be a lot of people to talk with here but they all left en mass...
This painting is very similar to Rodin's original work...Masterpiece that warped into
something that looks hideous and like a three year old fucked up up.....again
if you apply Phi....much of the greek art looks better then roman art if you compare, you
will see the greeks used Phi and the romans did not...Phi.
The Thinker Originally is a Masterpiece as opposed to what The Thinker looks like now...
I agree James if anyone should profit it should be you, you listened and you painted it, it is
beautiful, I have no interest in profiting from it, it satisfied my need to see it as it once was.

If you wish to not come to DA anymore that is up too you Carpathian - yes, users do disappear all the time, i disappeared for 6 years but came back in the end, why? because i love art and artists. Now i gather you were lured here by a bunch of Dragon fanatics, that were most likely younger than you and now they've all grown up, got jobs, found reality and grown out of their Dragon fetish. Did they have your thoughts on Dragons being Real creatures that existed at some point in time? or did the just love dragoons because they watched the Hobbit or Lord of the Rings to many times? or Pete's Dragon? Like i said it was nice talking too you.

Now, The Thinker, your version, which i did as a gift for you remember, may appear to be different to some, it maybe amusing to others, it may move, change it's appearance as one person stated, even mess with their mind, but it's still your painting, your image of the original, instead of the distort Rodin's version that looks nothing like this version that i do prefer now. i do not want to profit from the painting, i told you, it is your painting, a gift. ''can you hear what i hear'' remember that.
if anyone should profit from the painting then it should be you, i would allow that by all means. i'm only a spectator of the painting now, my friends and family have seen this painting, they cannot believe how realistic it looks, meaning they think it's from a well known statue somewhere in the world and all i did was paint the statue, again some friends think it must be some Greek statue i copied from somewhere but they can search to the ends of the earth i dare anyone to search, Ha ! and they'll never find this statue anywhere in this reality..this is the only image....but you know, i'm proud of one thing and that's making you happy and i hope the image was always to your satisfaction.

The dragons are real...there is a place they all go to that is not
in this reality, in this reality they would call it
disassociation, usually only very young children go to this place,
this thing is they are all going to same place and being dragons
there, I've been there three times...it is real place and dragons
are real, magical, intelligent creatures and older then the earth.
We are not rich people, we have to save to buy what we want,

The Thinker Originally is beautiful, he always was, they can look all
they want it's The Thinker only in this reality it don't look like that, it
is phenominal to me to see people genuinely think it's always been this
way, I am shocked to the core to see it changed and everyone thinks it's
always been this way, Im not in the world I was born in and I don't know
how I got into this one although like I said everything points to CERN and Dwave,
quantum fuckery, it gets very complicated...
The thing is everything that is occuring now was foretold.
God is in the math, everything is mathmaticly perfect, nothing is chaos.
Everything is also binary, it's by the binary they are changing reality...
Ones and Zero's, Something or Nothing, Heaven or Hell, Ying or Yang....
If some of this don't make sense to you it's ok.
No two people ever have the same reality we each get our own
perspective that is unique to each of us...

Lol, it's really quite interesting. Online stalking and people who say they're being stalked online. A Name is a name - i could be Karl from Kathmandu, or Billy from Boston or Mary from Mongolia but i'm not, i'm James from the southwest UK, now too me, there are only several ways online fraudsters or stalkers can really hurt you and that is, you've put full details into a dodgy website somewhere that is unsecure and now they have your IP address and know exactly where you live or you've just had a fake ransomware and you're dumb enough to fall for it, or you could be really paranoid and believe the CIA are monitoring everyone and they know where everyone lives, which is kind of true. If you sign into FB then your IP address is detected, it doesn't matter if you use false names of not, so some good hacker stalker could easily find where you live via FB..oh unless you're Encrypted of course, like VPN, so no one can see your IP. personally i don't care who anyone is, i just do not like secrets and fake users. for all i know you could be someone completely different to who you say you are but, like i said, it doesn't mind me, because, online is just Words, videos and pictures on a screen.
Well, like i said, i was never a fan of Rodin's thinker, i prefer this version as a spectator.

This artwork, in my opinion, should not be manipulated with or touched, disfigured, changed, tampered with. i don't want to see it up as graffiti as someone wanted to do or on a T-shirt and plus it's personal to you Carpathian, a gift to you. i didn't paint this artwork so someone else can use it or profit from it.

Silver Surfer was one of my favourite Superheros because he was from the universe, travelled on a surf board and was a herald to Galactus. the surfer would roam the universe searching for planets too consume for Galactus and in return Galactus would give a portion of the planet consumed to the Silver surfer. so i found the comment OK. the toilet comment, i would've deleted because i hate filth and porn on any medium but i know Dennis, he's one of the good guys left on here. so i allowed that too.

It really amazes me that there are a lot of people who can't seem to
tell the difference between nudes in art and pornography, anyone can
aim a camera at their crotch and take a pic which is basically porn, this
painting is excellent nude in art without showing the world the guys junk.
Although the original was anatomically correct I felt no need for it and the angle
wouldn't show it anyway. Im finding all the comments interesting on one hand
and well scary as hell on the other, it's like Im a fucking alien here, Ive seen this image
many times from early childhood, my mother was artist, she had all the art books, I grew
up with two sets of encyclopedia's and a medical encyclopedia.....even my own anatomy
has changed but as far as I can tell it's all my innards....It is surreal, I would think my own
self insane if it was just me but it's not just me there are millions of others all over the
world experiencing these "Paradigm Changes" so much so we are not recognizing this

The Renaissance artists were true masters. you're right, they never had google, they used live subjects or in Leonardo Da Vinci's, case, used the dead for his art study, to learn the deep and superficial muscle anatomy of the Human form. I think their are still smart people in comparison to those great masters but they were the pioneers of what i call master genius artwork.

It's just a painting my friend that is all, if you see swirling colours then that's got nothing to do with me, that is your perception playing tricks on you. Statues in general do not move, i mean, it's what the word means, ''statue'' not a living Statue or person but if you see it moving then, that's far-out, i cannot explain that. what exists now is grossly distorted...
What exists now is what the majority of people seem to know therefore
it is my memory of how it used to be that is being called false....

they are seeing colors and statue move in your painting, this could be mandela
effect. would you notice if your artwork suddenly morphed and changed from it's
original....have you even considered that could happen?

I don't class your Vision or Image of ''the Original Thinker'' as a Confabulation,. that word means mental or memory disorder and it's far from a disorder. i'm sorry but i don't like certain words that turn this Natural or supernatural dimensional phenomena of yours into some kind of Mental or memory problem. it's not. maybe i'm not reading your message correctly but i thought you were implying i was classing, The Thinker original of Yours as just some kind of fake memory - all i was conveying to others, is that the memory of Rodin's Thinker in this reality, is not the real one, meaning it's a fake perception or false.
If the painting has an esoteric effect, meaning that only a small number of people can connect in some way with, ''The Thinker'' then it wasn't anything to do with my perception or thought patterns, you Gave me a good detailed description of what you wanted, i pictured your Details and painted it to the best of my ability how, The Thinker would look. lot fun with that, it is also nice for people who have no one to talk with.
Someone saying it's like you are in their head, isn't you, I consider that
