This is such a great image.
I do have to agree that the rope around her neck looks a bit dangerous, but it does nothing to take away from the great concept and outcome of the shot.

The rope wasn't anywhere near her neck as originally tied, it did crawl up, which made the shot even more real and dangerous. But I was ready to slide the chair back under her at any moment, and it was removed carefully and slowly, so there was really no danger. It is stuff for professionals though, not to be tried by just anyone.

I wonder... Could I possibly use the lines of the ropes and knots as reference for a similar puppet themed work that I'm going to do? If you'd like I could give you credit....

Well, you remember what I said a couple of weeks ago regarding the rules of clessic photography... learn them well, so you can avoid them. That was supposed to have some humor in it, but also some truth. If I keep doing things the same way, I will keep getting the same results. Sounds a little boring. Photographers tend to get in a rut and not learn or grow after that. I really try to stay open and do different things. I work from not only my own ideas, but also from the ideas the models bring. I find that they take me in different directions and tend to keep me growing creatively. So that is about all. I'm so glad you have been able to appreciate these wild new approaches!
