Thanks for noticing, yes, the lighting on this one was pretty tricky. It was a studio shot, no real fire there. So I put a reflective panel on the floor in front of her and reflected yellow light up from where the fire would eventually be added in, so as to give a convincing illusion that her face was illuminated in fire light.

thank u for sharing that trick of the trade, wouldnt have thought of that, that was a brilliant idea. I am just about starting to teach myself studio lighting and hope to buy a few pieces of equipment bit by bit and experiment, so for now I just use available light and makesift studio lighting with some flood lights hehehee.

thanks again, but lighting for me is hardest bit about photography, its make or break for me.....hehehe. thanks again and keep posting new stuff, your gallery is terrific

hopefully I will be posting on DA again soon, this summer is the first real break I've taken from it. Did so in favor of paying photography work, so it's all good.
