Description The new Prince of Persia is too easy. It’s not a bad game, just far too easy. Why is it easy? If you don’t make a jump, you press a button and Elika throws you the rest of the way. Fall? Elika flies you up to where you last were to try again. Battles? Throw Elika and she’ll send those enemies flying, making it easier for you to hit stuff with swords until it’s dead.

With that in mind, it was easy to see who the game was hard for.

It does make you wonder what she really needed the Prince for.

Aww, poor Elika.
You're can't say she was just for eye candy. In fact, I haven't see a female sidekick working so hard in a game since Flute in The Violinist of Hameln. ^^

This game should've been called "Elika and the Prince of Persia"

Guess that explains why every other cutscene has her on her knees, gasping for breath. But anyway, I kind of think so, too

The game was hell of repetive and boring.

It had all the features of SoT, nothing new and original.

Just to mention.

No, go ahead and mention it!

My friend played through it twice to get 100% completion. When he found all that got him was a skin change, he "almost burnt the computer with the game in it". (PC version obviously) XD

He wanted me to do a comic about it, but I couldn't come up with a joke.

Well, I played it, enjoyed the graphical aspect of the game, even started to like the cell shading. And I love Elika.
But seriously, if we leave that out, what is really left to love?

I hate the Wanderer for his douchbaggery, the combo system is hell out of boring and repetive(which is ironic since it was the first combat system ever created in the PoP-saga which was quite fun in the sprite games), and the jump and run system is really overused. And I really, REALLY hate the ''Not-dying''- part. It's the very foundation of PoP that you can actually die!
Anything new which was added besides Elika? No, nothing, no original idea or something which differ much from the first PoP-games which was the reason I liked each of the first 5 PoP-games.

It's like the guy from Zero punctation said:
''At first Prince of Persia Sands of Time(and in my Opinion, Warrior Within) was a golden egg laying Duck, which was then cut into pieces then sticked together, added with a costume and some addons to let it look like a new duck. But when you see behind those curtains, you see that this duck is already dead on the inside.''

I am not sure if it has to do that the staff really americanized this game(added with lame dialogs) or it just didn't try anything new as they proclaimed.

It wasn't just easy, it just was fricking boring. The only reason you played this game is because it had something of Shadow of Colossus, except that killing huge colossi you had to revive fertile grounds which was kinda awesome on the graphical part.
And Elika...she was the true heroine in the game.

But in the end...what the hell? Did they just do it to piss the player on the philosophical level off or just suggesting you:''Hurr, you failed, play PoP NG:2'' ?
I think it's the latter since Ubisoft started to become a capitalistic pig in the recent years.

I just have to shake my head if people compare this game to Okami, since they haven't anything in common at all. NG is never near that artistic greatness Okami has!

Also, heard about the DLC-incident? Really, after experiencing that, I have no love for Ubisoft any longer. I doubt I'll even buy any of their other games in the next years, let alone ''oP:2''.
Especially if Ben Mattes, who ruined the Saga for me, will be still in charge.

I should change my favours and look for those companies who care for their fans.Like Valve. They give fans lots of fun...

Nah,sorry about bragging me about this game. I hope I didn't ruined for you...

Well. You might be right on some of those things but... The story... it was magnificent. Previous prince of persia games never achieved that depth.

The game had many issues which you listed quite well out there, but the story and presentation were one of the best in the gaming history. I hope you will not be blind enough to skip that part out.
