Description
This was the one time that I was able to go out and do some shooting while I was in Florida a couple of weeks ago. The weather was perfect as soon as I got to my location the storm started and was pretty decent. To the right you can see the hotel I was staying at and this parking lot taking up the rest of the photo was the 5th floor of the Hotel parking garage. Not my first choice of locations but decent considering my choices since I had no car and very little travel time. For prints: [link] or contact me.

very nice, fantastic timing on this one. so many dif levels of lighting here, love the glow from below the lot and sporadic lit windows.

That's insane, you actually captured the lightning. I remember when I was in Florida, storms tend to start so fast, and stop just as suddenly. Beautiful angle, all the lines draw the eye in.

Thank you it is very difficult to get a good lightning shot but I think my effort payed off. I was in Florida for about a week and there was a storm just about every day, it was great.

I like the location. The expanse of concrete seems so still and lifeless, and it makes the intensity of the storm stand out even more.

Thank you Jake. It was difficult to find a composition that I liked but I knew the elements I wanted to include and when I came up with this one I knew it was right. I would have place the lightning in a different place but unfortunately I had no control over that......hehehe

Great shot man, I've had to shoot from the top level of a parking lot too. Looks like you made the most of it here.
