Description Wandering through the winding narrow streets of this medina was both amazingly interesting and a bit overwhelming at the same time.  With 156,000 people living within an area that covers only 540 acres (that's the equivalent to a little over 2 square kilometers) the streets of the Fez Medina can get very chaotic.  But as soon as you go off of the main roads the area feels empty, quiet and almost lifeless and this photo definitely conveys that mood.

Fès El Bali, Fez, Morocco, Africa.

156k within 2 km^2? That's insane! Sounds like an intriguing place to explore indeed. Very nice shot as well.
