Something I've been working on for a while now. This is the third and final version and I'm finally happy with how it turned out. The original is huge, 24" by 26". Much thanks to my friend Newman [link] for the background. It is one of his photographs which I changed in color and then painted over using a natural brush and the smudge tool (again with a natural brush) in PS. The lightning and everything else were added as different layers.Related content

Hmm! Pretty cool! Definitely sort of a classic dragon design for both, and a classic scene, but very striking how it's put here. I love the contrast between the colors here. The bright flames put to the dark shadows they cast. Both realistic and very visually appealing. And all the damage and injury on the dragons is an excellent touch, and it really tells a story: It's clear who's winning this fight.

This is just BREATH TAKING, it is soooo beautiful! And has a very epic feeling to it, I could almost feel the heat and strength to it, as well as hearing the thunder growling there.

Oh hells! That's the end of that! Love the way you did the texture of the wings, especially where the lightning is shining through. Very leathery. Convincing fire effects, too.
