Description Vore warning in this story. Leave now if you don't wanna read it

Floating out on the open ocean was a young lad by the name of Damocles. The boy was only around nine years old, with scruffy black hair and brown eyes. His cloths, although soaked, consisted of a green t-shirt and a pair of cargo shorts. But there was another feature concerning the boy…the tears streaming down his face and into the salty ocean he was currently stuck in. But that begs the question…why was he out on the ocean by himself…no boat, no lifejacket, and no help for miles around. Well, for the answer to that question, we need to travel back a little ways, to show just how the poor kid ended up in this situation:

Damocles’ parents…they were not kind people. It was fairly obvious to everyone…they just seemed to resent the child. For whatever reason it may be, they were not at all good parents to the boy. His father was a drunkard, to the point where it became normal for the child to experience the man in this state on a nightly bases. He was a fairly abusive man too, and for the smallest reasons. Nothing Damocles ever did was either right or good enough for the man, and the poor child was met with the belt more times than he could even count. It got to the point that at night he would sleep with his door locked…and under the bed just in case. His mother was no better, as she never stepped in to even make the attempt to stop her husband. But even though she didn’t participate in the physical abuse of her child, she more than made up for it in the emotional and psychological abuse. She would berate Damocles at any opportunity, be it at home or out in public, and it was taking a toll on the child. He wouldn’t do much of anything at school anymore, for fear of both parents hounding him over it for some unknown reason. Multiple times he had contemplated running away, and a couple times he almost went through with it. But he never did…out of the shear fear of what they might do to him upon his return, should he be found. He shuddered just thinking about it most days, and it would be more than enough to talk himself out of it. He’d done everything he could otherwise to get away from them, even asking his aunt and uncle to come live with them. Of course, the two of them were more than willing to take him in…but his parents refused…and since neither of them were his godparents, or legal guardians in any sort of way, they couldn’t do much. They had tried getting the police involved, but that only ever seemed to make things worse for Damocles. For as ruthless as they were, they could fake being the perfect family pretty well…at least well enough to fool the police. This had gone on for years, and the boy was at his whit’s end. But a small glimmer of rest appeared on the horizon…his father had managed to win a cruise through work…God knows how…for the three of them to take. Two weeks at sea, on a huge cruise liner, where he could go anywhere he wanted to in order to get away from them…what was not to love?

A few days into the cruise, and everything seemed to be going swimmingly for the boy. With the huge crowds of people, the cruise liner had to hire extra security to actually go through with boarding everyone…meaning if his parents actually wished to be allowed to stay on the boat, they had to act like civilized human beings. And the boy loved every moment of that…for once he wasn’t the one being put in an uncomfortable situation. And even when they got on the ship, they couldn’t do much else in their normal ways…with how close the rooms were, someone would be bound to hear if they did anything to the boy, and it could…and most likely would…be reported almost immediately. Damocles was free to be just a normal kid for a while, and he took advantage any and every way he could during that time. He went on the slide that went twisting around the ship, swam in the pool, and took part in as many events that he could. And the best part…with all the employees, his parents were nowhere in sight. Then again, his father barely left the bar for the first few days…the only reason he did was that the bartender cut him off. But still, he was having the time of his life on this cruise, and he wished it would never end.

The fifth day, a group of kids on the cruise…Damocles included….went to a lower part of the deck with a few of the assigned “tour guides”….who were nothing more than a few of the employees in different costumes…to take a look under the waves. The cruise liner was equipped with a plexiglass window for people to observe the fish and other animals that would swim by when the ship was going slow enough. During one of the employees explaining the different types of animals that usually swam around in the waters nearby, a bottlenose dolphin decided to take a peek inside. This dolphin seemed different though…it was a tad bigger than the average dolphin, and it had an odd scar across its left side…what it could be was anyone’s guess. What also set it apart were its eyes…they almost seemed to sparkle with an intelligence that would have been unseen…even in the playful mammals. The children gasped and ran over, the friendly porpoise playing with them from the other side. This lasted for a little while, however, the employees did have to ask the kids to come back from the window so they could head back upstairs. Damocles though, since he was towards the back, was allowed to stick around for a little while and look out the window, with one of the employees sticking around with him. The boy smiled, walking over to the glass and placing a hand on it. The dolphin clicked and whistled, swimming around for a moment. Suddenly, placed a flipper against the glass, imitating the child. Damocles laughed, moving his hand around, grinning more as the dolphin tried to copy him. The boy sat down, watching the dolphin swim around some more before going up to take a quick breath. It returned a moment later, but instead of swimming around, it just watched the boy curiously…almost like it was observing him, not the other way around. Damocles smiled, placing his hand on the glass again. Instead of its flipper, however, the dolphin gently tapped the spot with its nose, chittering almost sadly, which surprised the boy. Had something happened in the short time it had disappeared? Had he done something? After a few minutes of just watching each other, the cruise liner employee walked over, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Come on bud, we should go upstairs…I’m sure they’re all waiting for us,” she smiled, leading him upstairs. The boy turned and waved to the dolphin, and to his delight, the dolphin waved back…as well as it could, at least. The creature watched them go, then swam off…however, it didn’t go far. It stuck around the stern of the ship…almost as if it was waiting for something…

On the sixth day of the cruise, the child was looking out over the railing of the ship, just feeling the breeze against his skin. It felt nice…much nicer than the musty air he was used to back home. He had just finished up another one of the activities…a little friendly robot race…and he won! The boy was so excited about his prize…he almost never won anything! He was so happy…until he brought it back to the room they were staying in. His father laughed in his face, saying that everyone got a prize in those things, so it didn’t actually mean anything. His mother was even harsher, tossing the little trophy into the trashcan, telling him that’s where things like that belonged. He sighed, sadly walking out of the room. What could he do? He couldn’t retaliate…who knows where that would get him. Sure, they could get reported, but how much damage could they do before that point? He sighed, looking out over the water sadly…he just wished someone would do something about them. A sudden clicking sound broke him from his thoughts, and he looked around quickly. He then smiled, looking down to see the same dolphin from yesterday. “Hi again!” he smiled, giving the creature a small wave. In turn, the dolphin squeaked, flipping over to wave a flipper back at him. He smiled, watching the graceful creature swim near the ship, before an idea dawned on him…they had a small observation deck a few floors below him…almost at level with the water! He quickly disappeared, much to the dolphin’s confusion. But it squeaked in delight a few minutes later when he reemerged on the deck. Damocles smiled, watching the dolphin roll around in the waves. The playful mammal chirped lightly, splashing him with a bit of water. The boy laughed, reaching out to splash it back. The little water fight lasted a few moments, the child getting very soaked in the process. Clearly the dolphin was a little better at this than he was. A little alarm went off on his watch, and he frowned sadly. “Sorry…I gotta go,” he sighed sadly, getting an equally sad look from his new friend. The dolphin swam closer, poking its head clear out of the water before nudging his cheek lightly, as if it was trying to comfort him. He smiled a little, giving it a small wave before heading back up the stairs. The dolphin watched him go, then dove back under, following the ship once more.

On the seventh day, Damocles and his parents were walking near the stern of the boat, watching the stars reflect off the water. They had just finished up with dinner, and decided to take a quick walk before heading back. Now, the kids and the adults had their own separate little areas in the dining hall…mainly due to the fact that the bar was on the side for the adults…which also meant separate walks to get out. However, the three did manage to meet up and headed towards the back of the ship. The boy smiled, running over to the railing to look over the side, intrigued by the waves the propellers made in the water below. His parents watched him from a little ways away, whispering to themselves. “You know…I’ve been thinking…” his father muttered, looking back at his wife. “Is that right?” she groaned, rolling her eyes. “And what genius thought did you come up with this time?” The man glared at her for a moment, then looked back at the boy. “You mentioned a few times that maybe your sister and her husband should have just taken him…maybe they don’t have to..” She gave the man a sideways glace, then looked back at the boy. “I don’t exactly see what you’re getting at…” she replied. “What I’m saying is…what if he just…slipped? Kind of just fell over the side without anyone noticing?” he replied. “Think about it…he’d be out of our hair, and we only would have to play off that he fell…maybe even sue the company over it.” The woman mulled it over for a few moments, then smiled deviously. “Well…I suppose we could make that work…” she nodded, the pair making their way towards the boy. They walked to either side of him, looking out over the water as well. They waited until Damocles had leaned over a little further, then in one fluid motion pushed him over the side of the ship! The boy screamed in fear and surprise, before hitting the water with a loud splash. He quickly made a break for the surface, gasping for air before looking around frantically. He looked up, watching the ship float away, his parents having already walked away from the railing. The boy tried to swim after the boat, but the powerful waves created by it pushed him further away. He tried shouting out to someone, but to no avail…no one seemed to be on that side of the ship. Damocles started treading water, still shouting up at the boat…but it became a lost cause. He watched the ship start to get further and further away…his heart dropping. However, unknown to him, someone had seen him fall into the water…the dolphin from before! It went wide eyed, sighing lightly once it saw him resurface. It thought for a moment on what to do, then it quickly swam off…a determined look on its face as it went.

Damocles managed to tread water the rest of the night, but by morning, he was beginning to tire. He was sad, alone, and scared…out on the open ocean isn’t the most calming experience…especially when it’s just you floating on it with nothing. He started to cry again, about ready to give up…when he saw a shape start swimming towards him. He gasped, his mind immediately going to a shark. But as it got closer, he realized that it was a lot bigger than a shark…the shape was actually a whale! A humpback whale, to be exact, as the creature surfaced right in front of him. He gasped in awe, looking at the majestic whale up close…the whale had the normal colors, but it had blue eyes…which he never saw on a whale before. It watched him with kind eyes, moving a little closer slowly. “Little one…are you alright?” A voice suddenly echoed in the boy’s head, causing him to look around frantically. “Easy child…I didn’t mean to frighten you,” the voice replied in a kind, female tone. “Who…who said that?” the boy asked, the fear he was feeling making his shiver more in the water. “There are only two of us here young one…so who must it be?” the voice replied with a small giggle. The boy thought for a moment, then his eyes widened, staring right at the whale. “You?” he asked in shock. “Yes, me,” she replied. “When I heard about what happened, I rushed straight here…and just in time it seems. You’re awfully tired, not to mention freezing.” Damocles nodded slowly, looking down sadly. “Young one…I want to help you…but I need you to trust me to do so, okay?” the whale continued. The boy looked up at her, still a little hesitant to trust such a large animal...even if she was being so kind to him. The whale noticed this, and gently swam over a little closer, letting the boy rest on her fin. “Why don’t we talk for a moment, let you ease into it. Surely this must be a lot to take in,” she chuckled, looking at the boy. He nodded again, smiling slightly that he was able to finally take a small break. “I’m Lumina…I believe you were called Damocles, yes?” the whale asked, getting another nod from the boy. “How’d you know?” he asked, getting a small laugh from her. “My friend Melanie overheard one of the people on the boat call you,” she replied. “Oh…um…who was she?” Damocles asked curiously. “The dolphin you met,” Lumina replied with another small giggle. “She was very upset when you were pushed…but she cannot communicate with you like I can, and she didn’t want to frighten you…so she swam as fast as she could to find me.” The boy smiled again, looking around. “Where is she now?” he asked curiously. “Waiting for us back where she found me, actually,” Lumina replied. “Wait…us?” he asked in response, tilting his head a little. “Well…yes…when she told me who pushed you, I was shocked,” the whale replied. “I…I figured you didn’t want to go back to your family…I know of a small island…I thought maybe we could take care of you.” The boy’s eyes widened again, mulling over what the whale was saying. She wanted to take care of him…her and a dolphin…it seemed almost impossible…but considering what got him into this situation…maybe he should say yes. No one had even come back looking for him as it was…and he didn’t really have any other options. “I…I would love that,” he smiled, patting her side gently. The whale almost seemed to smile at the child, letting him back into the water. “I’m glad you said yes little one…but now comes the part where I need you to trust me,” she replied. “I wouldn’t be able to swim well with you on my flipper…and that just doesn’t sound safe for you either. So…I would…erm…need to swallow you for the trip…” Damocles just stared back for a few moments…she was asking to eat him!? I mean, she DID come to help him…but could he trust her that far? He took a deep breath, then looked over at her. “Ok…I trust you Lumina…” he replied a moment later. The whale nodded as best she could, then opened her mouth in front of the child before swimming forward. Once he was fully inside, she closed it slowly, pushing as much water as she could out of her mouth in the process. Eventually she fully closed her mouth, just leaving Damocles on her tongue. She gently moved him back towards her throat, taking a mighty swallow once he was close enough. The boy began to travel down her throat, noticing that, for such a large animal, the muscles around him were being surprisingly gently…almost like he was getting a small massage. After a short journey, his head started to enter the organ that was her stomach. He was gently squeezed into the space, which was surprisingly bigger than he expected. He still couldn’t fully lie down, but it wasn’t uncomfortable…and the walls pulsating around him seemed to help out a lot. Lumina, feeling him start to settle in, dove back underwater, beginning her trip back to the island. “Go ahead and rest Damocles…I’ll let you back out once we arrive,” she cooed softly. “Okay…thank you,” he smiled, his tired body finally getting a moment to rest. The whale smiled again, continuing her swim onward.

When Damocles awoke, he was resting on a small beach, under a large palm tree. He frowned, looking around slowly. “This has to be the island…but where did Lumina go?” he asked, getting up quickly. He heard her laugh suddenly, but when he turned around, he gasped slightly. Before him was a young woman, her skin tanned by the sun, along with a head of long flowing hair, bluer than the water itself. She had the same blue eyes as the whale did, but her gown seemed flow and ripple…almost like it was made from the water itself. The woman laughed again, walking over to the boy. “Sleep well Damocles?” she smiled, lowering herself down to him. “I…I did…but..” he replied, still sorely confused. The woman laughed again, motioning for him to follow her. The two sat down by the shore, letting the water splash against their feet. “Damocles…I am Lumina…however, I wasn’t entirely honest with you when we met,” she said softly. “I’m actually a sea guardian…an ancient race that helped stranded sailors, and any other humans that fell from their boats. We can transform into different sea creatures, and some…like myself…can control the water itself…causing hurricanes, calming waves, and things like that.” The boy gasped, looking up at her with amazement. “That’s so cool!” he smiled. “But...why did you decide to take me in…I understand saving me, but why did you bring me here?” Lumina giggled, hugging the boy gently. “Because…another of our abilities is that we can see into the minds of those we plan to rescue…through your connection with Melanie helped me to further see what was going on. I saw how they treated you…I couldn’t just send you back to that…so I decided to bring you here, to live with me.” The child smiled, hugging her back. “Thank you…this means so much to me,” he replied happily, looking up at her. She smiled back down at him, then her eyes went wide. “Oh! I almost forgot, I had something for you!” she replied, quickly getting up. She ran over to the tree, retrieving a small amulet. It was a light green gemstone, with a small string through the top part of it. The gemstone itself had a few patterns cut into it, in the shapes of different sea creatures. “This will allow you understand all the different sea life you might run into here,” she smiled. “It’ll also show that you are now under my protection, so none of them will dare harm you.” The boy got up and walked over, placing the amulet around his neck. It glowed brightly for a few moments, then stopped. “There we are! It should be working now…assuming I did the spell right,” Lumina chuckled. “It’s been a while…I’m a bit rusty..” The boy laughed as well, hugging her again. “I still think it’s great, thanks,” he replied, the sea guardian hugging him back. “Oh! You found him!” an excited, bubbly voice suddenly chimed in from behind them. Both of them quickly looked over, finding the dolphin partly propped up on the sand. “Melanie, I told you not to do that, you could get yourself stuck!” Lumina laughed, shaking her head as she walked over. “Sorry! I was just so excited!” the dolphin replied, getting another laugh from the boy. Melanie gasped, looking over at Lumina. “Wait…he understood me…did the amulet work!?” she asked excitedly. “Well…I would believe so…since you said he understood you,” Lumina smirked, shaking her head again. “Oh…yeah, that makes sense,” Melanie nodded, looking back over at Damocles. “I’m so happy to see you again little guy!” she continued happily. The boy smiled, walking over to her. “Thank you for going to get help,” he smiled, rubbing her side. The dolphin squeaked happily, splashing him a little. “Of course! Happy to help!” she replied. Damocles chuckled, splashing her back, which caused the dolphin to return fire. The two of them played in the water for a while, the boy eventually tiring himself out…so he decided to take a rest on the sand nearby. “Need a little rest?” Melanie asked. “I could help ya there! I’ve got the perfect spot!” The boy smiled, looking over at her. “Where?” he asked, the dolphin looking down at her stomach in response. “Melanie, I’m not that much smaller than you are…you sure it would even be possible?” the boy replied, sitting up quickly. “Yep! Done it before with a full grown adult once!” she laughed. “Trust me, you wouldn’t be a challenge.” Lumina nodded as well, giving the boy a small smile. “It’s true, I was there when she did. If you want to little one, go ahead.”

He thought for a moment, then nodded. “Ok Melanie…just don’t hurt yourself,” he replied. “Don’t worry little guy, I won’t!” she giggled, swimming over to his feet. She opened her jaws wide, moving them around his feet so her teeth didn’t cut him. Once she managed to get up to his knees, she started swallowing, the boy surprised at how easy of a time she was having with this. The dolphin giggled again, taking another big swallow. The dolphin was now up to his waist, and Damocles could feel his feet starting to enter her stomach. He smiled a little, patting her snout gently as she continued swallowing. She smiled in response, swallowing a few more times. Once she was up to his neck, she began to move into the water a bit more, allowing her belly to sag out more. One more swallow, and his head was sent fully down her throat, allowing her to close her mouth to make sure no water followed the boy down. He curled up in her stomach a few seconds later, stretching slightly against the walls. The dolphin chittered happily, looking down at her belly with glee. “Sleep well little guy! If you ever need a place to nap again, let me know okay!” she said. “I will…thanks Melanie…” he replied sleepily, dosing off a few moments later. The dolphin squeaked happily, looking up at Lumina. “He’s so adorable! And so tasty!” she giggled. “I know…but we need to take our time before we start eating him on a regular basis,” Lumina replied. “We don’t want him to get hurt in the process, or get freaked out if we do it suddenly.” Melanie nodded, looking at her belly again. “Speaking off…mind if I get somewhere to rest for a bit too? I saw that tiger shark again, and he didn’t seem happy,” she sighed. “Of course…you know I always protect my friends,” the guardian chuckled, diving into the water quickly. There was a quick flash of light, then Lumina resurfaced, back to her whale form. “Swim on in,” she smiled, opening her jaws. The dolphin nodded quickly, doing her best to swim into the whale’s mouth. Lumina closed it quickly once she was fully inside, leaving a little water to let the dolphin float, since she didn’t want to cause either of them any discomfort. She floated on the surface for a moment, smiling to herself. “Sleep well you two,” she whispered, allowing herself to just float near the island, her friend and new son tucked away safely. She would deal with his parents later, but for now, she closed her eyes, joining the others in sleep.
