Description
There was once a small young seal pup named Hooper. He had dark brown shiny fur and a little slender body. He was an orphaned as a baby by his parents who died a few months earlier of illness. He was left on a small rocky island and was always bullied by the older seals.

Today he was sleeping in the warm sun on one of the shore’s rocks. He was dreaming about how life was with his parents. But his peaceful slumber was interrupted by two larger teenage male seals.

“What’s the runt doing in our spot?” one asked.

“I don’t know. I thought we told him to stay out of our territory” the second one said.

Hooper became scared as these two adolescent males (as would all others) would always give him a hard time. His voice grew very nervous as he said, “But you never said this was your spot.”

“Doesn’t matter, you shouldn’t even be here anyway” the second seal said.

“Well…why” Hooper asked.

“You haven’t earned it, runt. Since your parents died, you’ve been stuck being the stupid runt that no one here cares about. You haven’t even gone into the water yet” the first seal said.

“Maybe it’s time he learned” the second seal said.

“Good idea” the first seal said deviously.

Hooper’s eyes widened with fear as he heard the two older seals. The first seal then used his mouth to forcefully pick up Hooper. They then made their way to the edge of a rocky cliff on the island. Hooper begged for their mercy but it was no use. The seal then dropped Hooper to the ocean waters meters below. Hooper screamed as he was dropped down into the ocean’s cold waters. When he managed to swim up to the top of the water, the two older seals yelled down at him and told him to never come back to the island.

All he could do was swim away from the island, like they said. As he swam through the ocean waters he saw large schools of fish and other marine creatures. The thought about how the others said that no one wanted him, stuck in his mind. Could it have been true? After his parents died, none of the other seals took care of him. Maybe it was true and no one would ever love him. Tears rushed to his little eyes as he realized that. But then as he wiped the tears from his eyes, he saw all the schools of fish around him swim off. He wandered why and turned around to see the reason. Behind him was a huge Great White Shark! It had dark grey colored skin and a white underbelly. It’s eyes were a soulless black, had many scars on its body, it also seemed to be about 25 feet long.

The shark smiled showing all of its huge sharp teeth and said, “Well, what is a little creature like you doing out here?”

Hooper was petrified out of fear. He had heard many stories of seals being attacked and killed by sharks. “Please Mr. shark, don’t hurt me” he shrieked in fear.

“Ms. Shark, little one” the shark said, proving that it was a female.

“I’m sorry if I offended you, please don’t hurt me” he said hoping not to have offended the great predator.

“It’s okay little one, my name is Atlanta and may I ask yours” she said calmly.

“It’s Hooper” he said feeling intimidated by his large acquaintance.

“Well Hooper, why are you out here by yourself. Where are you’re parents?” she asked.

“They died, I’m all alone now. I got forced out of my island because the other seals didn’t want me. No one cares about me” he said wiping the tears from his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Hooper” she said sadly.

“It’s okay, I’ll just have to go and find another island to lived on” he said.

“Maybe you don’t have to” Atlanta said.

“What do you mean?” he asked confusedly.

“I could take care of you” she suggested.

“Really?” he said with happiness. He then quickly swam over to Atlanta and hugged her. Atlanta smiled as her new friend hugged her. After he hugged her, Hooper let out a small yawn.

“You must be tired Hooper, I have a place where you can rest” Atlanta said. Atlanta then opened her large cavernous mouth. It consisted with rows of sharp white teeth and darkness beyond that. A scared look formed on Hooper’s face “It’s safe Hooper, I promise you’ll be okay”. Hooper was a bit scared but trusted his new friend.

He then carefully swam into her mouth and sat on her warm flat pink tongue. He then felt himself be moved backwards. Within seconds, he came to a stop from slowly being moved . He was in a small area that was not much bigger than him. It had warm humid air and was very soft and squishy.

“Atlanta, where am I?” he asked.

“You’re in my stomach” she said.

“But, doesn’t that mean that…” he started.

“Oh no little one, I promise it’ll be safe for you in there. Since sharks move while they sleep, this is a way that you can take a nap and stay close to me” she told him.

“Thank you Atlanta” Hooper said happily. It had been so long since he had felt happiness and smiled. He then gently made a little spot for him to rest and fell asleep as he was warmed by his surroundings.

“Goodnight, little one” Atlanta said gently.
