Alex loved the beach. The waves, the sand, the beauty. So he would have enjoyed his trip to the beach... If it weren't for his "guardian". His parents had left on a year-long trip to a remote part of South America, and because they didn't know anyone, they hired the first babysitter/kid-watcher in the phone book. Then they left, and the supposed caregiver showed up the next day. This was two months ago. The kid-watcher, Carl, was a scummy jerk. He beat Alex, he got drunk, and he trashed the house, all on a daily basis. Poor Alex was only 10, so he couldn't drive or anything. He was very smart and cunning, as well as compassionate and somewhat naive. He convinced Carl through subtle suggestive hints that he should go to the beach, and take Alex with him. Everything Carl packed was for himself, other than sunscreen and towels. Even the cooler mostly just contained beer.
The beach they went to was somewhat unique: it had a stretch of sand about 40 feet long and 20 feet wide from the parking lot to the beach, with a concessions stand on the left, a 60-or-so foot stretch of coast at the end, and an eight-foot tall rock wall of sorts to the right. It was a natural mini cliff, with vines growing on top and cascading over the side and down to the sand.
As Alex stood behind Carl in the crowd of beach-bound people,he noticed a rather beautiful lady coming from the direction of the coast. She seemed to be only about 14, but had a busty hourglass frame and dark green dyed hair. She carried herself with an air of dignity, and was wearing a dark green bikini. Alex noticed that she seemed to have little tan on the front of her body, but much more on her back. Carl, who had already had a beer on the way to the beach, called out to her, saying, "Hey sexy, that bikini doesn't look good on you-- you should take it off!" Upon her giving him a withering look of annoyance and continuing past, he said, "I'm talkin' to you, bitch! You shy? Come on over to my place!" She continued on, and as Carl shook his head, Alex could have sworn she walked into the rock wall and disappeared. He had an idea. "Hey, uh, Carl, I was wondering... may I please get a drink of water? It's free, and it means I won't need to drink any of your beer!" Carl thought a moment, before saying, "Fine. But get your ass back here in a couple minutes." Alex thanked him and melted into the crowd.
Making sure Carl wasn't looking, he snuck over to the place he'd seen the girl disappear. He pushed on the vines... Only for his hand to swoosh right through them, passing through air on the other side. He ducked in and saw that he was in a sort of canyon, small and shallow but very beautiful. It was only a few feet across, more like a path, and the walls only extended the eight feet up. He walked along it until he saw the end of it: a secluded and small bit of beach well away from sight of anyone else. And at this beach, staring out into the water, was the girl. "Uh, hi..." Began Alex, "Hey I'm so sorry about my companion back there, he's a real jerk. I'm sure you don't deserve to be talked to like that." She turned around and faced him. "What?" She asked. "Umm, well I was saying that--" Alex's repetition was interrupted by the girl interjecting, "No, I heard you... But did you actually just apologize for something someone did wrong?" Surprised, Alex responded, "Well... Yeah." She looked relieved. "So then..." She began, "there are still some good humans around." 'Humans?' Wondered Alex.
Alex was about to ask for clarification when they both heard the yelling: "Alex! You twerp, get back here! Where the hell are you? If you keep hiding, there will be severe consequences!!!" Alex gulped. "Hey umm..?" He started, not knowing the girl's name. "Alyssa." She finished. Alex nodded and continued, "Alyssa, i was wondering-- by the way, my name's Alex-- if... maybe... I could go home with you? I think he might kill me!" Alyssa looked torn. "I... Well, do you like seafood? And do you enjoy swimming?" She asked. Alex enthusiastically replied "Yes to both!" She walked into the surf, gesturing for him to follow her. He did, and when the were about 15 feet out, Alyssa said, "Okay, Alex: I need to do something. Please, promise you won't freak out." Alex nodded. She slipped below the surface, and emerged a few seconds later... As a shark. Alex's eyes went wide. "Don't panic!" Said the shark. "It's me. Look under the water." Alex did, and what he saw shocked him beyond words. Instead of the body of a human girl, she had a humanoid shark form, with a tail and a dorsal fin. She still wore her green bikini, although it seemed a bit tighter now. Come to think of it, she still had her green hair. He had to come up for air. "This is my normal form," Alyssa told him, "I use my human form when I am visible to people, to blend in." Alex was amazed. "Well, let's get going! I have a cave underwater with a large air pocket complete with a rock shelf to lay on. Hold onto my hand, and I can help pull you faster than you could normally swim." Alyssa said. Alex did as instructed and under they went.
After a while, they were both sitting on the shelf in the cave. It was lit up by glowing seaweed. Alyssa was explaining to Alex her other abilities. She could control the size of other creatures, and she could communicate telepathically. Also, she had a unique metabolism and digestive system: she only needed the outer layer of nutrients of food to stay nourished, and in the case if live prey, she could even spit it back out after several hours, exhausted, but still alive. After talking for a couple hours, they went to sleep. The next morning, Alyssa went out to hunt. Alex waited for her, wondering what she would bring back. With a splash, she surfaced. "No luck," she told him, "and I am still very hungry. When we met, I hadn't eaten in a couple days. Argh." "You know..." Began Alex, "that stuff you were saying yesterday... you could eat me. If you shrank me down and swallowed me, I could stay in your stomach for a while until you were ready to let me out." Alyssa was touched. "You mean it?" She asked. Alex nodded. "Wow... I've never had human prey before... When would you be ready?" Alex shrugged. "I guess right now." He said. Moments later, Alex was kneeling before Alyssa, having stripped of his swimsuit.
Both were quivering with anticipation. "Here goes!" Said the shark. Alex felt himself get smaller and smaller. Finally, Alyssa laid down on her side, with Alex in her hand. They looked at each other and Alyssa opened her mouth. Alex saw the saliva dripping off her teeth, her throat dark but strangely inviting. She deposited him in her dripping maw and gently closed her jaws. She felt him with her tongue for a moment before sliding him towards the back of her mouth. Alex felt oddly comfortable. Warm, sticky saliva covered his naked body from head to toe. More was dripping on him from above. He had expected her breath to smell like fish, but it didn't. Instead, it smelled almost sweet, a pleasant aroma that made him almost want to slide down into her stomach where the smell was coming from. She moaned in pleasure at his unusual flavor, before sliding him back to her warm, dark gullet. Finally, he felt the throat open up to receive him, and he slid down her tight and wet esophagus. He came to the stomach, and slowly slipped inside, allowing himself to be engulfed by the churning muscles, sticky, sweet-smelling liquids, and very mild acid. He heard gurgles and groans all around him as Alyssa's stomach massaged him and soaked him. He heard her let out a pleasurable and satisfied "Ahhhh...." The stomach contracted around him, squeezing him and enveloping his bare body. This motion was followed by a quiet belch from Alyssa. The muscular sac squeezed sweet smelling fluids up to his face, letting out another loud glorp. He felt something pressing from the outside, and realized that Alyssa was gently poking her midsection, feeling his squirming body. She let out another moan. The stomach squeezed him again, pushing the lovely fluid up over his head and getting another satisfied belch from Alyssa. Some got in his mouth, and he let out a sigh of extreme pleasure of his own. It tasted even better than it smelled. As the stomach continued to churn and gurgle around him, he felt himself begin to lose consciousness. As blackness filled his vision, he took in another mouthful and his last sensation before completely passing out was that of pure pleasure and comfort.
Much later, Alex awoke on the rock shelf of the cave. He was tired and hungry, and felt sort of tingly. "Hey Alex. How do you feel?" Asked a familiar voice. He turned his head and saw Alyssa sitting on the edge of the rock, looking at him. Alex smiled and said, "Hey, Alyssa. I feel fine. I'm a bit tired, though. I think I'll need to eat something myself soon, since it apparently takes a lot of energy to recover from losing the nutritional value of your skin. By the way, it was great! If you're ever hungry again and can't find anything out there, I'm always game..." Alyssa looked relieved. "Oh good, I was worried about your status. Before I spat you out, I felt very full and strong, like I'd just eaten my fill of fish twice in a day! I was worried that that meant I'd taken a bit more out of you than intended. Now I think I know why, though: You were only about a foot tall, but still the same inside. I took off maybe a millimeter of you, but because you were compressed, what I got was a little over four times as much!" Alex smiled and said, "It's a fair trade: you saved me from that slimeball Carl, I provide you with occasional meals." Alyssa grinned her toothy grin.
Suddenly, her happy look was replaced by a worried one. "Alex?" She asked, "What about your parents? Within ten months, you'll have to be home..." Alex frowned. "Oh yeah..." He suddenly had an idea. "Ooh, what if, while I'm living with you, I sneak out to an electronics store and steal a waterproof webcam for you? Then I could use my webcam at home to talk to you whenever, and occasionally visit you!" She though a moment, and said, "I think that would work... We'd need a computer of some sort for me, though, to use the camera. Maybe a laptop, and a way of charging it and having internet access." Alex agreed. "Meanwhile, how about I go to the concession stand at the beach and get something to eat?" Alex suggested. Alyssa shook her head. "You're too weak," she said, "I'll go." Alex thanked her and lay down as she slipped into the water. He decided to sleep a bit. As he lay there, he wondered when Alyssa would be hungry enough to eat him again.
