Description
All painted from scratch in Photoshop. Took ages to dab in all the gas. I used a default soft round brush and set areas of gas to different layer modes. This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client. The non-exclusive rights to this image is £30.

Thanks again Alex - I have enabled download of full size image by the way, which is designed to fill my 27 inch imac screen. I will leave it like this for a day as I do actually sell prints of this picture locally (an 80cm wide version) and I don't want the buyers to think I am giving away the image for free...!!!

for me i guess the interlacing effect is allright; kind of simulating an old video camera shot, so...allright

Thanks again. Took a few evenings to do - really tiring on the wrist, with all that dabbing. Even a nebula has to have depth and compositional properties. Very different to doing a 'normal' scene as there is only one element and it was difficult trying to make it interesting.

With all that consideration and work, it looks great.
You accomplished the depth very well, and I'd love to see where this goes.
