Description
This image is a personal project, so doesn't belong to anyone else, i.e. a client. The non-exclusive license of this image is £30.Rough concept painting, inspired by a Ryan Church DVD tutorial. Pleased.
I used a default photoshop round brush which I flattened. No initial plan to the design so it came about through happy accidents.

Thanks SV - I just wish I could draw characters as well, because there is so much call for good character artists out there.

I know its rough in your eyes but I think that's what makes the piece. I guess I just like things that are rough in appearance, I think it adds character to a painting somehow.
Amazing work!

Thanks TTX - yes, you are right about adding character. A rougher style is less static for sure. I must do more of this.

Okay that is really far away. O.o ... uhii.
Enough time, that the humans can bild more skyscrapers, so high as much as possible.

Well, I thought this one looked like it was in a cave already. I can sense there is a ceiling above.

I thought of a bigger one! xP
With a town, which climps above the walls of the cave!

Good thinking!
The biggest city is called Coruscant, which is a city that covers an entire planet surface in Star Wars.

I notice, you have definitively enough inspiration.
If I would like to draw a city like this. (Not so big, for the beginning) But how I have to beginn? Or how do you start with a image of a scenery like a big city?
I remember, you would make a tutorial... Is this still actual?

I dont plan too much - I just start blocking in big shapes and then turn them into buildings - as long as the big shapes are ok, the details can be anything I want. Then i add lighting as I go.

Hi, I absolutely love your work, I imagine visions of the future all the time along with many other people around the world, and I can see similar scenes, there is a top quality website called abovetopsecret.com which is full of conspiracy, Armageddon and end times prediction threads, hundreds of thousands of people use the message boards for civilised discussions every day, who are not artistic at all but they will connect with your artwork like it was one of there own visions, just as I have done.
I am putting together a thread for the website with an emphasis on the fact that if millions of people around the world have such vivid imagination, dreams and vision of the future, then surely looking beyond all the end of the world prophesy almost proves in a way that the future is still to come in one form or another.
I am asking you for your permission to feature your artwork along with around twenty other artists, on the site, in the thread, with strict instructions not to copy it, and with full recognition to you, so that people can appreciate the dreams and visions of others and perhaps look beyond the panic of the demise of the human race, with all the Armageddon discussion and be prepared to fight for a better way of life for all.
There is no financial gain or any other benefit for me or anyone else by doing this, it is simply to get exposure for your artistic vision, and help others take a look outside the box.
I won't feature your work without permission and I will link you to the thread if it is given.
Kind regards, Ed

Hi Ed, thanks for the message. Yes, that's fine with me. I will check out the website for sure as it sounds right up my street. Just been watching Zeitgeist on youtube which is along those lines. I can't get enough of it!
I would appreciate the viewing from the site, so please go ahead and please send me the link.
James.
