Description
Painted from scratch in Photoshop CS5. I used the vanishing point filter to get my perspective grids set up and align the planes. Took days to do, including revisions etc. Original image was 10,000 pixels wide, which is a bit of a strain on my iMac. Completed months and months ago.Created for Heavy Gear Assault - www.heavygear.com/ This image is not available to buy as it's copyrighted by the client.

One question - how did you do the glares?!?!?!? They are spectacular!!

Thanks a lot - I did that flares by creating them first - I have loads of them made up. I create basic shapes and then warp/distort/blur them and then set them to color dodge or overlay layer modes. Painting them freehand is too tricky.

Excellent - thanks as always. I am on photoshop all day, every day. There are many works that just end up in the recycle bin, so not always successful.
