Misplaced Fear in Children's Eyesfor : a sequel to [link]
The same children from To Serve and Protect.
The Chief gets the kids back to base ready to turn right around and return to the front line. First however, he has to suit up. When he returns in full armor, the children are scared, not understanding that the man they find so frightening now and the man that risked life and limb to pull them out of the warzone were one and the same.
I went a little crazy with the adjustment layers, Sam, I hope it's not too overworked. I had even more but I pulled back and gave it "the editing eye". I was having too much fun making it dirty.

I love the kids' expressions--how some of them are trying to be tough even though they're scared. This really does add a level of realism to Halo, seeing the reaction of the weak to, well, the strong. Very emotional.

I adore this. The faces and lighting are wonderful.
Truth be told, I'd probably react the same way. He's so legendary, yet still intimidating.

I love the concept to this. It makes Master Chief seem so much more real and much more like a hero than just an action hero. It gave me a shiver thinking about it just then.
I also like the comparation the guy who commented just be for me said about it being similar to firefighters looking scary to kids with their gas masks on, but they're there to save them.
The title fits well too 
The picture its self is decent, but the background with that one box takes away from the picture a little. It would have maybe been better with a kind of atmospheric background that is stylized to focus on the fear the kids feel. Like maybe a long big shadow coming from the Chief. That'd be awesome

Reminds me of how my mom (who briefly served as a volunteer firefighter in her younger years) always noticed that the oxygen masks protecting firefighters could scare little kids...

I often wondered how the civilians would react to the sight of a Spartan. I think they were used for posters and such, and the whole 'No KIA. Spartans Never die.' thing is to keep morale up....
But you don't really get any kind of perspective.
