I'd love to add my name to the list of people clamouring for one of their very own sculptures!!! This is just spectacularly fabulous! (And would look smashing next to my fiery )

Oh great! good to see what you did with him, looks superb! i started work on my one after you telling me about yours, nearly finished, just have to get the paints. one thing i found to be much more tricky than i thought was making a ball from sculpey, i thought it would be easy but it seemed to take forever! did you use clay for the ball shape on this?

That is awesome to hear! I hope I inspired you too, I appreciate your encouragement and comments, it means a lot! I worked on this guy a few years ago actually, and I dont recall if I had a hard time with the ball or not. (the hands were a little difficult) and I guess I could say the whole piece was challenging. But, it is indeed 100% Sculpey except for the metal paperclips I used for the arms and legs armature. I used grey and white super sculpey, red and black paint, and I used actual ash from the fireplace to dirty his face and armor, It was messy but it looks more authentic I think. Best of luck on yours, cant wait to see it.

Nice job on this! It's fantastic! (I dabble in pottery but only manage to make misshapen bowl-like things on the wheel.) Also, a little creepy, because is that Toby in there?!

Thank you very kindly... I like the thought of it being Toby, that is a creepy thought and an interesting take on it. You're not the first to mention that either. I didn't intend on it being Toby though, Brian Froud's original concept art for this goblin had striped clothes ([link] ) I wanted to stay close to the original character design, and incorporate the movie design and my own touches as well. I've just always pictured the goblins wearing stripes too. Stripes are kind of a stand out "LABYRINTH look/feel" to me. thanks for your comment, it means a lot
