Description
This beautiful sculpture is part of the 'mythic coast' artwork trail and is well worth viewing if you're in the area. This is a 40 minute exposure taken just before midnight of 'Mary's Shell'.

Cool photo you took here. I like how a majority of the picture deals with the shell up closely and the rocks on the ground too. In the far back, you can see the ocean and the waves too. My favorite part in this is the sky because it looks like if the stars were zooming around in a circle and it has a nice color blend with the purple at the bottom, then the blue on top. The exposure is well used and so is the lighting on the shell. I love the details on the shell going from the back to the center. Awesome work by the way.

This is a stunning photo. I have seen this work of art on other photos here, but this far and away the best.
Your vision here is a complete story in itself. You have allowed the viewer the opportunity to join you in your imagination. I love the hint of the North Star in the upper right corner.
Originality is very good as well. As I said, I have seen shots of this before, but never a night shot. If I may ask, how did you decide on a night shoot?
Technique is outstanding. Great focus from the pebbles on the beach to machine marks and corrosion on the piece. The curves in the steel and the stars complement each other.
All together I found this to be a amazing work of art. Keep in mind that I am not a photographer, just a picture taker. I think this is inspired.

Wow, this is really a stunning photo. Personally I'm still struggling a bit with taking photos of the stars with a long exposure. You certainly have no such problems, as this photo proves. The sculpture is right in front, sharp and very well looking with the movement of the stars in the background. The star trails give the whole photo a feeling as if from another world. Well done!
