Description
Waiting for NS 951, the OCS special at state line, and got F@#$ed over by a westbound NS roadrailer, as 951 was coming, so I hightailed it , and got this shot just off of Calumet Ave, while I was still in my car. While chasing it through Hammond, I also noticed the unmarked NS cop Following it near by.

Gotta love when another train gets in the way, particularly when it's the non-special movement hiding the good stuff. I'd say you made out well though considering the obstacles.
So does NS always have an unmarked following this thing? Or did they know it was you and wanted to make sure you didn't get a picture by first sending a road-railer and then following you around?

Yes it does, but most times I never seen them, in this case it was a unmarked black squad, how I noticed it was that after this shot I was at a light in the left lane, and the cop turned the red/blue lights on it's vechical, just and went around me on the left turn lane, just as the light was turning green.
Around here NS cops are mostly unmarked white, or black squads, and some marked NS Police Squads, as for the Road-railer, I think it was bad timing, I hope it was bad timing.

Love when they don't want to wait for a light and use the red & blue to get around it... Recently saw similar here when a local PD cruiser tailgated a civilian, then quickly darted into the left turn lane (they did wait for the light however), and then FLOORED it ahead of everyone else and were doing easily 30 over the speed limit. Good to know we trust these people to uphold the law and carry deadly weapons to do so...
That's not to say I don't respect them, but it makes one wonder sometimes...
