Click for 1024 pxl, download for fullAbout 45+ hours (forgot to check right before I closed), 250s/p, I realized when it was too late that I should've turned the side mirrors off on the walls, as they were no use for this particular render. Oh well... lots of noise attacking post work involved.
Anyways, am studying the eyes surface settings for LuxRenderDS. I set the cornea (which covers the iris and pupil) as glass2 and eyesurface as glass, still studying...
She's looking at the "park", which came from a render of Winter Wonderland by ArtCollabrations with the lamps' light bulb set as lights, added new prop bulbs to the wall where the lamps are (made an obj of the 4 sphere with a plain attatched behind the wall, to have one light working).
Anyways, hope ya like!

This is absolutly wonderful! Is this the result of our chat on materials etc... Either way this is a superb render, and goes to show what is possible with renders done in Lux... congrats!

I know I was basically saying most people don't do close ups like these as they can't do realism close up, especially the eyes, it takes a lot of nerve for them, and I can just hear them say "oh the nerve of jamminwolfie, since he didn't think he can do realism, especially close up" hehe
And thanks a lot, friend, that does mean a lot to me

That's looking really good jamminwolfie
eye might be a bit dilated for the amount of light around or maybe she's...

Thanks a lot, friend! You're right about the eye being too dilated, soon after I realized this, I looked and the pupil and dilate morphs were pushed up. Eh... one thing I learned from this study

Very nice and detailed...WOW on the render time though eek lol but I can see that park in there etc. Maybe a smaller poly environment would have cut the render time back better?

jamminwolfie In reply to ann0314 [2011-09-06 07:57:29 +0000 UTC]
Actually the park wasn't a problem at all, the reflection was a render of the park with added light meshes for special effects (you'll see another render soon, unfortunately it's nude). What would've cut the render time was taking out the mirror on the side walls (reflecting all the lights, those are time killers). And thanks so much, ann!

Beautiful work wolfie and I'm afraid I can only agree with what has allready been said. Excellent realism at work here! I need to get back into Reality but I just can't handle the render times! My only crit would be on the graineyness of her hair. A little blurring and cloning could have sorted that out with post work but I can see from your descrption you have allready tried to knock some if it out. Just remember with lux, the glass settings add ALOT of time to your render but I am guessing this is more of an experimental peice on working with those settings anyways. Lovely work, thanks for sharing

Actually never thought of that, I always work in PSP unless I need the healing brush lol. I'll probably play with it sometime later to see what happens, thanks buddy!

As for moi, I like the post-work approach. But then I'm just lazy. LOL Well done friend.

45 hours? Are you serious? That's effin' long. It means that reflections in eyes were raytraced from the actual 3d background? Well, I think you can reach almost the same result using the post processing in photoshop.
