i love the emotion in this, it makes me think of a Casablanca style femme fatale alone waiting for someone to come whisk her away, but she has been waiting for too long... yea that didnt make much sense to me either. but it doesnt change the fact that i love your painting!

I love the emotion here. The painterly style it's done in is reminiscent of Degas to me for some reason. I just want to see this framed in a large size and mounted beneath a spotlight in some gallery. I really like it. No, really.

I really love this piece. Even though the background is indistinct and you only can see a white tablecloth, it just screams cafe. The atmosphere is perfect. I like her expression - like she's looking around, wondering where the person she's waiting for is. (but you can see a shadowy figure in the background!) Beautiful. I love the detailed coloring and the style.
