Oh it's wonderful. I love the contrast between the twisted and not twisted crossing, and how well they fit the pattern on the stone.

Is it possible to get sort of... freeform stones? Like a tumbled lump? Otherwise, both cabs and faceted are nice depending on the stone, I just don't know a particularly good source. Most of the places I know either do mostly beads or have limited variety.

I would say take a look at Kingsley north they have tumbled rocks they sell if you don`t find what you want let me know and I will find some more for you
