Very nice. What a lovely place to be.
Only a small critique . The standing foot, just doesn't look quite right on full view. It looks like it's floating. ooops, just read the above comment, lol.
I was going to say, try flattening the heal a tad, but if meant to be floating, mmm? Tricky. Maybe taking the shadow slightly under the foot. I see the shadow on the right. Maybe a darker shadow would work. I know there is a lot of light, but check out the columns on the right, they have very dark shadows.
If you struggle with shadows, try using the opposite colour, on the colour wheel, ie: red/green, blue/orange etc. It has a very vibrant effect, or for a neutral shadow, mix them together [base colour+opposite]. Sorry if this is teaching you to suck eggs, it's not meant like that.
Finally, on the subject of the tablet. If you buy one without an art prog with it, they are the same and a hell of a lot cheaper. Mine only cost £30. I didn't buy one for ages, thinking that the good ones were nearly £200, but it came with an art prog, and I already had a better one anyway. I would strongly recommend getting one. I can't believe I used a mouse for so long. They are so much easier, as I'm sure you can imagine.
And they all lived happily ever after, hehe.
PS: Did I say 'small critique', lol.

WOW! Thanks SO much for your critique. I really appreciate the time and thought you've put into it. There's so much to learn and the more I know the better I can be. Girl is supposed to be mid-flight/step so she's slightly elevated from the floor. Could definitely have a look at darkening the shadow closer to her feet and using the opposite colour in the shadows to give them depth and richness. I have more difficulty with where the shadow should be and it's shape for the left foot than the right.
Thanks for the tip on the tablet too. I'll look into that. First priority is a camera though as I desperately need to get a decent SLR if I'm going to try to push this commercially. Then a tablet...then a new computer...then some new software...maybe 3D software...audio/video equipment...maybe if I promise to be good Santa will be nice this year (sounds good in theory, except that I'm Santa around here lol)!
PS: love the avatar...nice to find a chuckle in the middle of the day!

No prob, I'm only glad to help. I remember how much I've/still struggle/d???
Middle of the day, hehe, technology, it's middle of the night
I'll send you a note????? oooooooo mysterious, all will become clear, hehe.
The shadow thing definately works with real painting. Not too sure with digital, i'm new to that, but check it out.
I think the left foot looks fine, I wouldn't worry, doh! you mean the shadow, lol. mmmmmm, there probably wouldn't be too much of a shodow, that high off the ground. You could use artistic license and leave it out or just do a faint shadow, somewhere that looks good, lol.
I'm lucky, my son is all grown up now. He bought a decent SLR, lent me his really powerful comp, and bought me a tablet for Father's Day, hehe. Reap the rewards for all those nappies, lol.

Yeah, I'm about five years away from my kids funding my exploits (but they're handy to borrow clothes and CDs from at the moment!).
