I'm loving Forthright's "Unspoiled" [link] series in which Kagome falls even further back in time and is taken in by a very young Sesshoumaru (the third character is her OC Hisoka - young Sess' retainer). I love the image that's called up at the end of chapter 11 with these three being an "echo of what's to come" (for a fuller explanation you'll just have to read it
)You really should give all her stories for all pairings a go, its all lovely, well written, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Also - if you're historically anal retentive like I am this is a great site for reference on different eras of Japanese costume and hairstyles - it includes clothing for nobility and commoners as well as children and religious personages [link]

I love the semi-realism of this piece as well as the details on each of the characters. The washy background gives the whole thing sort of a hazy effect, as if they're walking during the early morning before the sun's burned away the mist.

He reminds me of someone from a diff anime but she was more talkative and more assertive about her "thier" demands. Very neat none and a very refreshing style to boot.

When I first looked at this I thought it was a "What if Jaken was the demon lord, Sesshoumaru was the annoying little kid, and Rin was the loyal follower of the demon Lord Jaken" XD However, after reading the description that too is a very interesting view XD

It is a shame that there isn't more art for the story. I am always inspired to draw more than I have time or energy for, and I try to spread my art over different subjects. But the story is so good its certainly not out of the question...

I have to agree with you about forthright, all of her stories whatever the pairing are awesome! I've been reading outside my OTP for some time, reading pairings I would normally never, all because forthright is an awesome writer.

she does a lot of drabble series (i guess that's the right term) - compilations of short, situational chapters. They're cute and easy to read. And little Sess is ADORABLE in this story.
