To prove that I can do more then simple illustrations
simple landscapes too! 
I think I have never shown any of them before, it is just because I usually give them away before I can even scan them or throw them away Although I see this one is not perfect, really happy how it turned out!I used a photograph as reference for this work but I can not find out if it was a stock photo or just a lovely photograph I saved in my computer;-( I also can not find who is the photographer. I am so sorry about that. It is not a copy of the original photo of course, but I would like to credit the photographer in this description...

Oh my god, this is absolutely beautiful - I don't think I've ever seen such amazing lighting on a watercolor piece before! The depth here is really amazing!
Can I ask, did you work 'background to foreground' to get this effect? I would have loved to see progress shots of this, I'm so curious!

I love the colours and lighting here, it all creates very powerful expression. I think it's not easy at all to paint "a simple" landscape and make it believable, but you certainly succeeded here.
