Description Since some people have asked me about how I usually paint, so i made this tutorial. I Also I've never done a tutorial before.. ( Mostly because i can't explain stuff...) but here you have one! (Also it might have some typos and incorrect grammar, I might have missed something while proofreading..)
The program used was Paint tool Sai, though you can draw like this in many programs.
Also, if you try this i'd love to see your results So please post them in the comment section down below.

I'm sorry but I love this so much. Thank you for doing this. I've been struggling with some guides but they're so complicated. This is the first that just allowed me to tip my toes in and have fun. I created a monster but I learnt a lot by following your suggestions. Thank you!

I love the tutorial, i must and will try it. is there any specific brush type that works best for it? or is it a case of preference?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jaoosa In reply to kayles-jabberwock [2013-07-01 17:27:38 +0000 UTC]

It depends, what kind of program are you using? I use Sai so i only have good settings for that one. But, it's mostly a case of preference. I always use 3 kind of brushes. One brush that is very "hard" and doesn't blend that much, one that blend according to how much pressure is used, and a "water" brush which i use only for blending to create a softer look.

Hope that helped atleast a bit, and if you have Sai i can share my settings with you if you want c:

hehe im working on a drawing currently but my tablet decided to crap out and stopped using the sensitivity or w/e i saw your other tutorial for the brush settings too btw :3

jaoosa In reply to bluechibineko [2013-07-02 21:15:16 +0000 UTC]

I use those brushes i linked And what i use them for depends, i often use marker for sketching and hair, brush for pretty much everything, the hardbrush for when i'm painting new areas and details, and the water one for blending
Also, have you tried another program for the sensitivity? Once my settings in sai changed by themselves and deactivated pressure sensivity in Sai.
Or you could try and reinstall the tablet drivers C:
