Description It's been a while since I've done Hetalia fanart, and it will most likely be a long time before I do another one. It's been a great fun being a part of the fandom.

Here is Germany in a scene from the movie God on Trial. It tells the story of an urban legend in which a group of Jews held within Auschwitz conducted a mock trial against God. The accusation was that God broke the covenant with the Jewish people for allowing the genocide to happen.

Germany is in the place of the character Baumgarten who is Head of the Court in the trial. He believed himself to be normal German and a good citizen till the Gestapo came for him. It was revealed to Baumgarten that his father, who died before he was born, was Jewish.

Quite a combination, God on Trial and Hetalia! It's lovely to see fanart this different for a chance!

I love God on Trial! I could spot about the film all day! I've been out of the Hetalia fandom for a while so I don't know how it's been holding up.

Germany looks so right as this character (even more than as the usual cocky nazi in flashy uniform, I daresay) that I could cry.
And yet another point scored for historically spot-on APH fanart!

My biggest worry was that Germany wasn't going to be recognized because I stripped away every feature that made him identifiable, but then that was the whole point of the process...

Baumgarten fitted Germany in so many ways. They both have a strong sense of duty and order, deep down they're both good men, and in the end they're dealt with a tragic and ironic fate. His monologue made me love him so much (but then I love all the characters)

Aww, why will it be a while before you post any more Hetalia fanart? Your art is always so meaningful and beautiful!

I've been moving away from the fandom these days You can blame it on the OCs in my head... and Sherlock Holmes.
