Going back and researching in RWBY lore, as to prepare their entry into the DC Unlimited. Needless to say, some of the lore is hard to get through at times, especially in terms of characterization. With Blake, it was somewhat easy, as we build on her feud with Adam. And how much their love hate relationship is shaping her into wanting to kill him. In terms, she wants freedom through Vengeance. However, Vengeance is a poison, that can eat at a person's soul and shape them into monsters. No one knows this better than Hanzo Hasashi: Scorpion

In the DC Unlimited, as Scorpion makes his way to Remnant, he embarks on a journey of discovery and to find his way home. In this realm, he came across unusual creatures, powers, and human beings. That oddly remind him of his days in the Tournament, but much less brutal. However, in every world, there is the sting of vengeance. As he faced against Team RWBY's Blake Belladonna. This occurred when Scorpion was facing members of The White Fang, who were about to kill innocent civilians. Though Blake had fought many Grimm and evil people in the past, there was nothing like Scorpion before. A being who looks like he was conceived by the darkest Grimm and given human form that embodied pure anger. When Blake sees this figure who permanently stained the ground with White Fang blood, she sees something prime, something elemental that she refused to acknowledge for so long. The anger and resentment she has for herself. Despite good intentions, Blake at first joined the White Fang when it was slowly morphing into a terrorist cult, and has hurt many people in the past, but not killed. When she sees Scorpion, she sees only a possible future if she continues her hunt for Adam or any White Fang members with the sole intent for Vengeance.
