Teetering between the lines of order and chaos, redemption and damnation, Two-Face the fallen White Knight of Gotham City has made things a personal affair between Batman and Commissioner James Gordon. With his scarred silver dollar, Two Face holds the difference between life and death.

In the DC Unlimited, Two-Face's backstory is an amalgamation between what has happened in Detective Comics#66, Batman The Animated Series, and his most famous storyline from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale: The Long Halloween. As per usual, Harvey Dent was a promising D.A. in Gotham City, to help eliminate the corruption from the crime families, while dealing with his personal demons. Ultimately being scarred by Sal "The Boss" Maroni, he became known as the criminal known as Two Face. In this reality, the approach of Two Face is also influenced by The Dark Knight. Prior to Dent's decent into madness, Batman hoped that Two Face would be able to succeed where Batman has failed, in cleaning up Gotham City, without the mask. Dent respected Batman, and everything he represented. He also respected Bruce Wayne as an old time friend, in fact it was Bruce who introduced him to his wife Gilda. But the anger he's bottled for so long would come back to haunt him, and as The Joker said "All it takes is one bad day".

In this continuity, Two-Face is at war with himself, as much as he is with Batman. The struggle between order and chaos becomes ever prominent, which can only end in one way for Dent. Luckily for him, Bruce Wayne hasn't given up on Harvey, nor will he ever. Jim Gordon and Gilda are trying their best to bring Harvey back to the light of day, before it's too late. A tragic figure unlike any other, Two-Face is a reminder that obsession and repression can turn us into the very people we fight against.
