I love how the little mouth piece look like they formed tusks or fangs. It adds to the whole "don't mess with me" look.

I see that your enjoying that new camera, the DOF is spot on with this,
And although a shot this wide does give an idea of the surroundings, you could also try a tight crop when the grasshopper is in that position to see how that affects the feeling created by the title,
Just a suggestion though,
I am fairly new to these photography concepts since I got my digital camera back in december.

The colors in that photo are so vivid! The Grasshopper is looking like he could eat a man's face clean off.
I hope things get better for you man. I really do. In the meantime, I'm glad to see you're submitting. You're an amazing photographer.

That's an awesome shot.
Might I say how the top white line for the boarder is crooked.

I know! That is from the fourth PokΓ©mon movie, Celebi - A Timeless Encounter (a.k.a. PokΓ©mon 4ever), because I can identify that movie title logo straight away, even though only part of it is shown.
And nice photo too. The focus is nicely done, and the details are clearly shown on the subject. Although it doesn't really suit the title you gave. Something more... agressive, perhaps?

Ewewewewew. More grasshoppers, right?
Or am I wrong?
They're all the same to me
Do you happen to be a grasshopper stalker?
My opinion of you wouldn't change if you was one you know...er...
Lovely shot, even if it is a bit scary.

Awww, look at Pikachu there! I think you need a flying or fire pokΓ©mon to get rid of those bugs in your life, Scott.
Damned insects... they're a plague, aren't they?

The new camera seems to be worth the money. Nice shot.
I'd maybe have cropped it a little tighter so that the distracting things in the foreground are gone and the grasshopper stands out more.

Haha, pikachu distracts me a bit but really, feels like the bug is looking right at you, gives a powerful impression with the focus. Almost scares me, heh. Well done!

nasty little buggers.
so green!
look, Pikachu is jumping to the rescue!
there's a 1 pixel misalignment in the middle of the top white border.
oh, there's just one grasshopper. you know for a while i thought those green plants were other hoppers too. (seems others tought so too.) that new camera really brings out the colours!
