I was scared of painting as well, but I gave it a go and it's worth it. It's not as hard as it seems. I'm not some master at it, but it's passable lol

It's very cool. I'd like to be able to mold but could never do it right. Yours is very impressive and even if it was never painted, it still looks awesome.

Yeah, that one was in honor of my wife Sue, who LOVES books and reading.  I sold it at an art sale to a young lady who is also a budding artist, and loves reading and books.  I think I did pretty well with it.  Definitely need to make more, especially with the Black Raven clay, since it seems to work wonderfully for little figures like that.

That's awesome. You should definitely do more, they're really cool. Kind of remind me of these things called pocket dragons my mom used to collect. Not because of the look, but their thing was each one was doing something different

Think I sort of remember some of those.

Yeah.  All those little horns can be infuriating, as is getting them to stand up without collapsing (those technical details I was talking about), but they really are a lot of fun.  Sometimes you just need to be *silly*

The spines have been infuriating so far. I've torn the back off and redone it 3 times now. The head was easy, but now the body is being a pain in the ass. Oh well, I'll get it right eventually lol

Well, I'll have to post a WIP soon with another dragon I'm working on.  just about went insane this evening trying to get the fool thing to stand up straight!

so yeah, art is hard work sometimes.  :-P
