With the new movie out tomorrow (tonight), I felt like doing some STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS sketch cards...Well, felt like doing one, then thought I should do a set, of quick cards.
So here ya go.

you know what, i actually found myself agreeing with George Lucas.... i saw an interview for this film and he said he didnt like all these CGI-animation movies where they try to make all the computer generated people look real. He goes "i want to see a cartoon look like a cartoon, leave acting to actors, animation is about style, youve got the chance to really make astounding characters and make a statement with some amazing styles of art".
okay i put some words into his mouth because i couldnt recall word for word what he said lol.... but i was sat there agreeing, about how much i love crazy animated styles and how we both want them in comics more

Yes, it may be Star Wars lite, and not Genndy level cool... but at least they made it stylized/animated!
And look, it's not like the big comic companies don't get it either, it's just that they only employ that approach to the books marketed to kids, cause they know the vast majority of their actual market is aging fanboys!
Sir George built this Clone Wars, for kids, not the aging SW fanboys, so they went ahead with a contemporary style here...

As for meeting . . . maybe we'll just NEVER meet. We have so many mutual friends in the biz, maybe we'll be like Marris Crane to each other. Talked about, but never seen . . .
