Description
This is my try at emulating Shane Glines concept art that he did for Dee Dee from Batman Beyond The Return of the Joker. I got to meet him and talk to him for a few mins at the San Diego Comic Con 2003. He was really nice. I showed him my drawing that I did of his, he seamed to like it. He told me that that drawing was the one he was going to be showing at that forum. I asked him about it and asked why they didn't like it and he said they said it looked too much like Harley. I told him that I liked this version better and he said he liked it more too.
He was a really nice guy. The first drawing is Shane glines and the other is my version.

I think dee dee have three different designs :
The one in the comics with black shirtΒ and red bootsΒ and some diamonds on theΒ pants.
The TV show on the other hand , created it white and red and knee hand disco boots.
and this jester harlequin style , like Harley costume but white and red with one tail. I wish they when with this one , it makes more sense .

Very nice work Dee Dee is probably my second female villain in Batman Beyond (*Just finished watching Return of the Joker*) only after Ten from the Royal Flush Gang. You'd think they would dress up like Harley being her lineage

Thank you. Yeah they said that they didn't use this version that looked more like Harley becasue they didn't want to give it away that they were related to Harley.... and I also think that at first they weren't even related to her, but added that sceen, making them her grand parents near the end, so people knew that Harley Quinn was still alive after she fell in that flashback and lived a long life afte Joker was gone.

That could be true, I just wish they brought Batman Beyond back. I mean technically the series has an "ending" the episode of JLU "Prologue" but the series could have gone so much farther.

yes it could have, but sadly that happens too many times with many of the WB animated shows

I wish I had the authoritative power to green light more episodes and seasons of Batman Beyond, and Justice League unlimited (it won't let me make a capital "u" for some reason) Mainly Batman Beyond though

i think you did a great job but i like the other design for deedee. if they would ve looked like this then it would have looked much like they belonged to a street gang that was only based on the joker. the idea was for them to look like clowns, but i still like this idea, just not as much

Yeah I love his work! I go to his site every few weeks to see if he has put anything new up....just LOVE his work! And he became even cooler to me when I met him in person....such a very nice guy.

Yeah, I got to talked to him for a few mins. If I had really thought of it, I would have asked if I could have taken a pic with him, but I wasn't thinking at the time. I was too excited that I got to meet him. Yeah I didn't know what he looked like at all, I was just at the forum he was at and knew who he was when they introduced him and also by reading his name badge. LOL
