Description
Done for Magic the Gathering: Journey into Nyx.One of my favorites for the set, I was tasked with producing an image with a lot of background details and maintaining a lot of motion in the main figure, which can be a tricky combo. I actually did a lot of sketching for this one, a lot more then usual, to try and get the Satyr girls pose and costuming just right.Β

The way you've tied this character into the image, while simultaneously, have also made her stand out is impressive. I really enjoy her gesture. The gesture has made her more exotic. The animals surrounding are well placed and colored (or lack of it). I feel as though they are collectively chasing her around the forest.Β The overall color and lighting gives me a sense of doom.Β You've done anΒ excellent job here, and though I don't play Magic, this must be worth something.

For some reason I read the title as 'groovedancer' at first. It certainly is groovy. xD

By the looks of it, she's either gonna die really bad soon or she's going to lure the wild beasts thowards something she'd like to have it's flesh ripped off without getting the blame. Either way, something is going to get into a heap of trouble allright!
