Midge: This picture was taken the week before my father nearly broke my neck and forever kept me at this height. Either way I feel like I should explain my mane at the time...My mother had an obsession with brushing it and constantly re-styling it. I never minded of course but it only served to remind me how I wasnt the filly she wanted.

Yeah Midge's parents suck. His father was an alcoholic and rather abusive and explained it to the young colt as "Showing his affection" and his mother had more then once told him how she always wanted a little filly while she played with his mane and constantly styling it in strange ways. (She also would try to mimic how Onyx wore his mane on Midge do to her finding it 'cute')
