Yay! Still working on my new style. MUCH IMPROVEMENT WILL BE MADE!!

Edit: Some minor story I suppose?

Firstly to start things off a note would be that Axel is a drill sergeant. During a time of chaos before the elements of harmony were re-found, there was a mandatory draft saying all able bodied citizens needed to fight to protect Equestria. Lucca was one of those who was drafted. But he couldn't take the pressure and soon skipped out on training and soon the military all together. Being the gentle soul he is he couldn't think of hurting anyone and the harsh commanders only made it worse on him.

Axel being one of the only one with nothing better to do was suppose to find and bring back any defects and punish them for their lack of subordination. In his searching he came across Lucca -who generally does a poor job hiding from others- and he began to scream and yell at him. Lucca was almost unaffected and explained his situation to Axel -who wasn't impressed- but none-the-less agreed to let him go for the time being since he couldn't afford any of his soldiers being weak willed at this crucial time. However he demanded Lucca go sign up at the medical tents to atleast help out. Which he did.

Some years later the war ended and Axel found himself plagued by horrible nightmares that wouldn't go away. In the past he could push things like this aside but for once this simply wasn't the case. Out of desperation he made an appointment with a private therapist to try and find out why he was suddenly overcome with images that never bothered him before. Shockingly enough when he arrived the therapist was none other than Lucca. Lucca was just as shocked as he but he didn't let that affect the situation.

They talked for a bit and Axel felt as if talking to someone who he could trust helped him greatly. Although he was far from finding the source of what bothered him so much. Lucca kindly offered a series of free sessions for him to make up for what Axel did for him so many years ago. Grateful Axel agreed and began to see the other stallion on a regular basis. Over time he slowly came to terms with his past and suffered nightmares less and less the more he saw Lucca. One day he realized he was feeling better not because of what Lucca was doing but rather Lucca himself.

Over time Axel came to terms with the fact he was in love with Lucca. So one day he made the choice to ask Lucca out for lunch at the stallion's favorite restaurant. Lucca agreed and thus began the start of their relationship.

Note: Lucca is actually very smart. He is just naive so tends to get into trouble alot since hes to trusting of others at times.

Axel although good at war hates being a part of it. He isn't "scared" of it but he does regret what he does.
He also only let Lucca go because he saw that Lucca would have been no use to them if he came or not. Axel did get in trouble for letting him go but he doesn't regret the choice.

Info on Lucca and Axel:

Lucca's talent is making some killer pasta sauce for the pasta he loves. (His cutie mark is a tomato)
Axel's talent is being a very angry man. Or atleast that's what people assume it is because he doesn't appear to have a real talent.

Lucca is Italian and Axel is German.

Both Lucca and Axel are straight but are gay for each other. It is unknown if they are in a real relationship or not.

I'm still working out details in how they are / act as well as a backstory.

I feel I have to better explain this to people.
Both Lucca and Axel are very straight men. Especially in Lucca's case they tend to flirt alot with pretty girls and completely ignore men. However they do like each other. But they are not gay and they are not bisexual and the reason this is is because they had never though of dating a man until they met each other and if anything ever happened they would never think of doing it again.
Their relationship started because Lucca was always getting into trouble in calling on Axel to help him. At first they saw each other like brothers -although they aren't- and Axel, although he hated Lucca at first, began to feel protective over Lucca and barely let him out of his sight and he began to have a crush on Lucca as time went on, since he felt that Lucca was his responsibility. Lucca felt the same way about Axel but being his clumsy and ditzy self it wasn't as obvious until one day by accident Axel blurted out that he liked him. They then sat down and talked and found out they had a mutual like of each other and felt the same way in almost every aspect. That's when they began their awkward relationship. Which is by the way almost strictly emotional.

SECOND NOTE!:

Yes both Axel and Lucca are based off Italy and Germany from Hetalia. But they are not necessarily them. Personalities and character traits will differ from the real Italy and Germany. I did not make them with the intent of them being EXACTLY alike. I just based their designs off them is all.

So while yes I do support GerIta these two are not exactly that shipping since they are not exactly those two characters.
