All I know is shes the re-designed android unit made after the labs latest -and best- A.I Android -or Gizmo- went rogue and was stolen by a mad scientist.
She is put to work doing constant tests in the lab -or was- until the same mad scientist broke in and with Gizmo stole her. The scientist Fizzy Pop named her Portal on account that she tested portal technology and had a fascination with anything circular and is working on rehabilitating her like she did with Gizmo. Portal retains the habit of wanted to be "tested" and wanting to solve problems.
