Cosplaying Pirate Seychelles at Otakon this year.I was hoping to draw her in my cosplay but
That failed.
So here are some pirates I did on iScribble again~
I put text on when I got back on GIMP
A little quotation by ~secretagent9a who kept me company in the wee hours of the night while I slowly finished this.
It's symbolic, representing how even the most beautiful and promising things can be flawed and how humanity is a superficial species.
So this relationship between the imperfect woman and the two men illustrates either that men are interested in more than just boobs or that they're desperate.
And France is obviously more interested in England.
They have a relationship which is shown to be almost perfect by the pristine island.
But the island is also this terrible trap symbolizing the years of war between the two countries.
History is all about sex."
No I do not know what she was smoking.

O.o ...I have no idea how Francis did not get a heat stroke. I cosplay as Childrens Day/Pirate France, and just being inside with the cosplay at a con is hot!! XD

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to write a real critique but since I think this piece deserves more than just a "Awwwww <3"- comment, I'll try to write an almost-like-a-critique-comment. ; )
First of all I recognized the angle you chose. It's uncommon and therefore I like it : ) Also I'm kinda obsessed with Pirate Iggy x Sey ^3^ That's so cool! And you even added France : D
Because it's a sketch it looks all messed up and kinda untidy. But still your choice of color is surprisingly good and your skills in anatomy do really rock!! Esp when I look at France's legs. Don't ask why I just had that thought xD To me pc- coloring is always something which really eats time XoX So I envy people who can do this in a short time (one night you said?)
I esp love the back ground, the WATER!! It really looks like water!
And last but not least: I find the quote you posted quite interesting. When I first took a look at your pic I thought "Yay, team Pirate roxx!" and had a positive feeling (even more because Sey is smiling.) but afterwards I got a more negative feeling. It then felt like England and France invaded the peaceful island and ruined all the peacefulness (like it must have been in actual history...)
But don't know, what is meant by this?:

I really do love the angle actually. I've always drawn on a normal plane so this was kind of a nice change of pace.
Also, yeah. I need to work on cleaning up my line art on iScribble ;; The eraser is horribly boxy but my line art is getting better so I'm happy with the improvement so far. I'll work harder to make it neater!
Uh uh See that quote was written during 2am~3am. We were both rather worn out so I'm not sure whether there was a real history to that part of the quote or a lapse in her thoughts. I think we were discussing their attraction to her "physical" beauty? Then we deviated. But if I do get a real comment from her about what she said I'll be sure to tell you~

Actually, we were talking about how the flaws in the physical manifestation of a country can show deeper issues within it. In this case, Vani was having problems with Seychelles' bosom. From her picture, I concluded that England and France were fighting over her as a lover, and that their primary interest was probably her boobs, because at the time they were also the most brightly lit thing in the picture.
Then I realized that England was looking incredibly sulky, despite being physically closer to Seychelles. He's not having problems with her-- France is the issue. They're jaded lovers, and this is their most recent spat. They're both trying to get Seychelles not for their own use, but to make the other jealous.
And no, I do not know the actual history of Seychelles. That was just my analysis of the picture. It could be true though.
