A bit of a Historical one here. I realised that most of my pictures are going to be from Australia. But I wanted to show a little bit of where I have come from.So this is when I was back home in England (a few years back). A weekend trip to photograph puffins on the Farne Islands. One of my favourite birds, lots of character and easier to photograph than the Australian birds!

th most stunning shot, I have ever seen of a puffin. its like its out of a David Attenborough book. its that good.

Thanks but I am determined to do better, it was the first outing when I bought the D70 so I would love to go back now I know my camera better! I guess we are all our own biggest critic.
Originally from the UK, near to Birmingham in the midlands. However I have made Canberra my home for the time being.

Well there is nothing wrong with your photos, great detail sharp. and excellent composition.
I think I went there when I was young with my famliy. Would love to go back again one day.
D70 very good choice of camera. so ? what got you started in photography? what is your fav style.

It is a fantastic place, went there one year with a film SLR and the went back a year later with digital. I must say getting puffins in flight is much easier with digital!
I love photographing wildlife and I am currently trying to get into architecture to improve my range. Not much of a people/studio/still life type photographer. How about you? Your gallery seems to suggest you like photographing most subjects.

I will give anything a go. I dont think I have any sort of style or fav type of photography. I only really getting back into it after a long time away. its thanks to that I took it up again.
I enjoy landscapes, and motor sport I guess the most, but I tend to look for any chance to get a good photo. thing is maybe I should focus on one type so as to better my skills?

Thanks for the links, they have some fantastic shots. I need to get back to wildlife shots. I used to live close to a wildlife park in England so I would be out there most weekends. There were excellent angles to get on some of the animals with no fences and natural backgrounds. I miss it
I have working knowledge of photoshop. I am better than most people I know but I still only really know he basics- enough to correct a picture as long as there isn't too much wrong with it

there is a very good Zoo at Dubbo. the Canberra Zoo is ok I belive if you ask Emma or pinkllama she can tell you as she has been a few times.

well you have a much better understanding of photoshop than I do. I am getting better but I really need to do a course and learn what I am doing. or have someonr teach me.
