I had a bit where I wanted to practice soem landscapes off the cuff for fun. These are a couple, but they are very basic and quick. They also showed how long it had been since I had messed with landscapes. When i sketch things like this I like to keep it really loose. The ice one is really chaotic and the bottom mountain one is ridiculously noisy and unorganized.When you can see the problems, though, it means you can fix them!

For someone really just starting out, the roughness of this is great as I can see brush strokes easier and can reverse engineer the technique.

I like how you painted the clouds in the second and third landscapes.
How do you choose the colors you are going to paint with?
I really like the colors you chose - I'm not too great at picking colors.

I actually really like the ice one. The chaoticness comes across more as dangerous but still has some nice focus and quiet points like the small dark rock near the bottom middle. The light up high also works well in bringing the viewer around. I feel its more organized chaos; it'd make a good videogame environement.
The bottom one I don't think is particularly noisy (though it does have a fair amount of different areas going on), but I do agree it'd probabaly work a lot better had the peices been placed differently, it feels a bit right heavy. It'd be cool of the focused mountain/rock was on the left and the background mountain range extended further to the right. I'm no experpert though.
Regardless, I really like them all all the same, you're great at rendering things.
